Wilson is what he is. Good humble guy and a solid game manager QB. He won't ever carry the load imo or put up ridiculous numbers but he's always gonna be a 20 and 10 kinda guy. He's like Flacco not elite but very good.

Right now the NFL has egg on their faces over Deflategate. Their only evidence is the ball boy went in a bathroom for 90 seconds with the balls. What was he doing in there? Letting air out of 12 NFL balls? Or, perhaps he was just doing what we all do when we go to the bathroom, take a piss and wash his hands. A dump would take longer.

Talk about making a mountain out of molehill! There must have been thousands of under-inflated and over-inflated footballs in the history of the NFL, none of which ever determined the outcome of a game.

Under Goodell, the NFL has spent countless wasted hours picking fly shit out of the pepper. This insignificant incident should have been downplayed by the NFL. Pete Rozelle would have simply brushed it off.

This is just one more of Goodell's many screw ups as commissioner. But this time he embarrassed Bob Kraft, who has been one of his staunch supporters. How stupid is that? This one could cost him.

Goodell approaches everything like a bad lawyer which is why he's such a poor leader.

THIS , people will hate the Pats no matter what ,it's jealousy .I asked a question a few threads a go ,Rogers admits he puts extra air in the footballs he use's ......is that cheating ,Brad Johnson said he had air taken out of the ball he was using for a super bowl ,are they cheaters ???

Sorry cannot overlook who Brady played against and his numbers. Especially his game winning drive. Pats D played great but Brady deserved the MVP. They should re-write this article about Eli Manning and the Justin Tuck led defense that put Brady on his butt in that Superbowl.

2 major distinctions that any homer would readily overlook:

1. brad johnson paid someone to scuff the balls, not deflate them. At the time, that was illegal. Now teams can scuff the ball to their pleasure. Also, i believe at that time both teams used the same group of balls so this rule violation did not result in an unfair advantage for one team.

but yes - johnson certainly did cheat. and yes - it would be a big deal.

2. Rodgers sd he likes his balls over-inflated but when the NFL checks them, they reduce the PSI down to regulation level. There is no indication that Rodgers or anyone on the Packers staff alters the balls after the NFL refs check them.

so no - Rodgers is not cheating.

I don't think the decision to throw or the actual play call were bad at all. Browner did a great job jamming Kearse at the line, and that's really where it went wrong for Seattle IMO. Wilson's throw would have needed to be perfect for Lockette to have a chance at scoring after that.

Bottom line is beast mode gains one yard in two tries. No doubt about it. No perfect throw necessary.
Dont know if there is enough time to run it three times, but dont think they would have had to.

The problem with the pass was that it was late. If RW gets the ball to the receiver a step sooner (when he's wide open) its a TD and Seattle repeats.

People who think it wasn't a bad call: Bevell and you.

People who think it was a bad call: Everyone else.

I think we can all agree on this much: The interception was a very heavy price for the Seahawks to pay for going away from their bread and butter for one play. If the pass had just fallen incomplete, the Seahawks could have gone Beast Mode on the next play.

The throw was bad but the call was worse imo. Butler made a great break on the ball.
It is strange though that I hear nobody talking about Wilson throwing the int. Can you imagine if that was Romo? Lmao. He would be absolutely crucified. People are acting like Wilson is a victim. I understand that he does not have a history of choking like Romo, but my God if I had a dollar for everytime i have heard the words bad pass or mistake when referring to Wilsons throw.....well.....id still be piss poor.

the call was designed to get the ball out super quick. 3 step drop throw slant, hope the chip route slowed the corner enough. the chip receiver didnt chip, the corner read and broke on the ball before the ball was out, receiver didnt body enough, ball wasnt as low as it could have been.

imo wilson did exactly what he was supposed to do on that play. maybe the ball could have been a little lower but wilson did his job.

imo the play design doesnt give wilson any options or discretion. its a quick 3 step dro so i dont think there is any defender wilson is supposed to read and then decide whether or not to throw it.

wilson has no choice/options/discretion with the way the play call was.

I find that strange, too. Carroll and Bevell didn't throw that ball. The QB has to know that in that situation, don't throw a pick! At worst case, live for the next down.

Based on my extensive knowledge as a play caller from Madden, I would have pounded Lynch again on 2nd down and immediately call a TO if we get stuffed. 3rd down playaction and boot out Wilson with a pass/run option, if nothing there throw it away and get to 4th down where I'd again pound it with Lynch. Boom championship.

The public and some in the media always give "nice guys/teams" a lot of slack. If Wilson gets credit for winning last year's SB (even though his team was up 29-0 when he actually threw a TD), he should get the blame for this loss.

Still the coaches are not blameless, they should've given Lynch the ball.

99% of the time that kind of throw play is either a catch or a drop. The probability of it being a pic was really low. It is probably the same percent probability that Lynch would have fumbled.

Everyone is just hind-sighting it. Everyone in that stadium figured he go Lynch, they tried to surprise the Pats with a throw. the odds were on the Seahawks side it either be dropped or caught just happen they got the low percent outcome; INT.

Lol. Come on Matty. Plenty of other NFL people including the Seahawks players have ripped the call. This is not a question of fans thinking they know better, this is a question of wtf were they thinking? They did have a TO and yes i would agree pound it with Lynch or Wilson on a boot.

I agree to an extent, but the coaches made the call to begin with and thats why they deserve the most blame. I certainly think Wilson could a have made a better throw, specifically putting the ball on the receiver and not leading him.
