powerful message mredskins...thanks for sharing.

in a lighter tone, I came across some hilarity. You know how most of us got our online medical degrees and are damn good armchair surgeons in diagnosing Skins injuries...well I came across something that has taken it too the next level. Please read the comments after the article. Its got to be the most ridiculous thing I read online (outside of Trump logic) this year: Could Tony Romo Be Back As Early As Week 3 Against The Chicago Bears? - Blogging The Boys

I haven't posted on this site for a long time but continue to follow the Redskins and discussions here.

This image compelled me to respond and it evoked much emotion and I thank you for providing it!

My oldest son is a Marine and he absolutely shares the message on this photo with anyone that will listen. I just worry where our Country's values are headed.

I do not agree with that Kap did by not standing for our Anthem.
I went on the internet today and I was incredibly saddened by this:
Lead levels in Indiana town's yards 6 times higher than safe - CNN.com
On the tails of the Flint Michigan lead poisoning in their water earlier this year.

Then there is Rapist Brock Turner getting released early from a ridiculously short prison term with no record for raping a female college student. Come to find out in the recent months there are four other white privileged men that raped unconscious women and also got away free: David Becker, John Enochs, Nicholas Fifield, Austin Wilkerson.
Then there is Levar Allen a 17 year old high school student (star athlete) who was sexted by a 16 year old female class mate. Levar did not initiate it. By the way Levar is black and his 16 year old classmate is white. Levar replied with his own sext. Big mistake.
Levar is arrested and charged with Child Pornography and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile, Levar will eventually have to register as a sex offender if found guilty. The other five above will not.
Then I get on this site and I see that a player not standing for the national anthem is dominating the news. Not these other more important stories.
I think I see why people like Colin Kapernick gets upset at the injustices that still exist in our country against people of low income.
You just have to open your eyes and look at it from a different perspective.
I wonder if the wounded hero in the pitcure above and his fellow hero's are being treated better/well at the VA hospitals? Oh wait....is that unAmerican of me to ask that?

I am confused about your first statement as I feel like you went on and on with solid examples of why he is upset? Anyway - by Kaep sitting people - like you - are reminding all of us about the racial inequalities. Those examples you pointed out are just sickening. Id say Kaep sitting is shedding light right before our eyes.

I agree with you. My two son in laws are in the service ,one is a Staff Sargent in the Marines and the other a Staff Sargent in the Army both big football fans !Funny thing is they both said the same thing ...he is ignorant about what he is protesting.
As for the country's "values"I kind of liken it to the late 60's and very early 70's(yeah I'm old).If there had been internet back then it would be exactly the same as it is now.You had TV,Radio and Newspapers ....nothing else and they were law if you read it , saw it or heard it it had to be true.No email scandels or twitter accounts to be hacked people made phone calls and wrote letters.I think all the values are still there just now with the internet we are bombarded with all opinions all the time.

Re: Around the NFL: Training Camp edition

So the Rams gave up all those draft picks for Goff, and apparently he can't even make 2nd string. LOL. I was listening to the radio today and they were saying that he can't call out the protections, his footwork sucks, he can't get under center and he's having trouble spitting out the plays in the huddle.

It's way too early to call him a bust, but you'd figure the 1st pick in the draft could at least make 2nd string.

Definitely not a good start for Goff when the first overall pick is going to be running the scout team.

I was referring to division crowns due to Griff. So unless you believe we drafted KC only because we drafted Griff the trade resulted in one crown. We would have, imo , taken KC either way. We needed a qb.

I'll bet the Rams are hot garbage this year and then Fisher's HC career is finished. The league won't be happy for its shiny new LA franchise to finish 3-13.

Wow. Bradford to the Vikings for a 1st and 3rd. Minn must think the window is narrow for AP and their D to do this very short term mortgage. Bradford wasn't good enough for this to be a major loss to the Eagles. I wonder what they will do now as Wentz and Daniels don't look ready.
