G Christian, good pick for the long view. Nsekhe will finally be a free agent after playing out his final restricted year. He has a good reputation, and being 31 he will look for a money grab in free agency next year because it will be his last chance, and with Trent and Moses here he will have to go elsewhere.
We’ll get a compensatory pick in 2020 after he leaves in 2019. Meanwhile we will need a swing tackle - a very very important position. If Nsekhe works well at guard this year then that’s gravy in my mind. I still expect the Skins to make a move at G somehow, independent of this Christian pick. I am happy to have depth at one of the most important positions on the field.
You can never have enough tackles, plus he looks pretty athletic. I bet they look at him at Guard too. Good pick Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk |
Re: Day 2 thread: rounds 2-3
I don't see any guards for our next pick, nor a decent TE. Don't be surprised if we get a rb or wr sitiational talent that can play special teams too. DT or cb or safety may be possible. It's really a crap shoot now.

Pockets straight Portis? A hard pass on that. I'd rather Santana Moss take him under his wings than Portis. Hopefully we won't have to worry about it. Maybe that slight fall will put a chip on his shoulder. We'll know soon enough. |

Wouldn't our OL we picked up in the 3rd be playing guard? I imagine he will since we've already got bookends at LT/RT. |

Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I thought of same thing but I don't think we can expect him to match Portis's blocking style; he was mean to defenders and I don't see Guice being that although I love his running style, based on youtube highlights of course.. And for those guys who talked about going BPA vs need; maybe I should have been more clear with that statement, there needs to be balance of course although, imo it all depends on how you rank that player vs other player. Let's say you value one LB highly - i.e., 2nd round talent available in 3rd round vs a guard who is ranked as 3rd or below round talent - you have to go with LB because there's a better chance of getting above average player at those positions which are safe only for next 1 or 2 years just like our DB positions. If latter player rank closely to our next best player available then it would make more sense if we go with player that can fill in our needs. |

Someone's got to. We have like 4 tackes for 2 spots and a center and a guard. |

We may want to consider a dt tommorow to have an awesome dline, even if it is heart attack Hurst

Re: Day 2 thread: rounds 2-3
The real question is why brandon scherff is playing right guard. We drafted him 5th overall thinking he could play tackle. If he’s so good, he should atleast be on the left side.

Re: Day 2 thread: rounds 2-3
Good shot 3 decent CB's tomorrow. Hill, Nelson, Averett. Then there's Hurst, but we don't need him at dt. Crosby is a RT but might be converable to G, but that may be iffy. I really think one of those 3 CB's should be the choice if available after 9 picks.
This makes no fucking sense. Why are you under the impression that LG is a more important position than RG??
#autismspeaks
I think its exactly backwards. We have Trent on the left side and if we put Scherff on the left side also then teams would overload the right side of the line because that's a much weaker spot. Instead Trent and whatever guard we get is a better combination and so is Sheeff and Moses, so you have two strong sides and it's harder for the defenses to overload one side or the other. Now if this 3rd round tackle can outplay Moses then that would be great and maybe you could put Scherff and the new tackle together and have a dominant right side along with a solid guy in the center. They still have to figure out the guard position on the left hand side though I do agree about that. |

True, but found it funny anyway. To me it's part of the show, fans boo Goodell, people representing rival teams tease local fans, fans boo back, pick is announced, everything's in its right place. |

Any trashing of the Cowboys and their fans is fine with me, even if there is some collateral damage to the Skins. If they get killed and we're only wounded, we win. He did it to their faces in their own stadium, man! He killed them! And he's a kicker! :laughing2 It doesn't get any better than that. |

But the Iggles have 1 Super Bowl win in franchise history - Not exactly the best vantage point for trash talking on the subject. I wish the Patriots had won - I’ll root for any team against our NFCE rivals. I wish it were possible for all of them to go 0-16. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Some other teams got drafted good guards and they may have “overpriced” veteran guards they can now drop. Their trash could be our treasure. |

RG is a more important position and it helps to balance out the line so defenses cant overload to one side |
