Mitchell also says, Vernon Davis now runs a 4.3 or 4.4 ? maybe a 30....Davis has lost a lot of speed since College. Brian Mitchell is sometimes delusional.

Has anyone seen how Settle is doing? I think he will be the key to the D-line. As injuries happen, i do not want to have to rely on Phil Taylor.

I’ve heard he’s been better than expected. Really solid...picks up coaching quick.

A rookie I’ve heard who has struggled is the tackle Christian. First week..no biggie

He said since Alexander had superior athleticism, he might get more consideration.

Does Alexander not? I'm not disagreeing with you, I just figured they both would.

I would actually think Alexander would be a better ST player because he is bigger and stronger (assuming Stroman isn't the designated return guy).

I think part of the appeal for Stroman is that he’s a return guy. I am not aware of Alexander being pegged for teams. Unless he outplays Stroman, he might want to think about that.

Keep an eye on UDFA CB Danny Johnson, as well. He's outstanding in pass coverage. IMHO, the only thing he lacks is height at 5'9". He was a great SWAC player.

My secondary school football coach always said play "hard and show us what you got in practice. How you play in practice is how hard you'll play in a game. 1. always slip and fall through the hole with daylight in front of him, leaving 25+ yards
2. drop passes
3. Running into the back of an olineman instead of cutting it into daylight

Fat rob is good, but I don't want to keep a guy when vision and leaving yards on the field seems to be a problem. These are issues that losing weight wont help

We've also seen what Perine can do and not do. I'm fine with whoever does better in camp/preseason, and right now it seems to be Kelley.
