Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Ereck Flowers visiting Skins today. I wouldn’t hate it as a swing tackle.

Could he play better at guard? It looks like he struggles in space, so maybe it would work better for him to be between the tackle/center. |
Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Another NYG castoff....I would prefer him at LG between Trent and Chase....he'll be better on the inside and an upgrade over Lauvou's bum ass....I hope Doug agrees.

Flowers will get a NFL minimum contract offer (at best)

Envoyé de mon SM-J320FN en utilisant Tapatalk
Yea. Cooley trashed him in every film breakdown every time we played the Giants. He is bottom of the barrel. If he is signed and makes the team, it isn't a good sign. |
Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Flowers sucks.
|
Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Flowers is horrible
|
Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
If we were the Hurricanes (Hey Punch, Go Noles) defense it would be a problem. There's a reason Bama wins all the time. They have the Jimmies and the Joes.

Does anyone here think Flowers would be an upgrade over Lauvou at LG ?

Don't know. But I definitely think we can do better than that. |

If the plan is flowers starting anywhere on the Oline, then this is another Bruce shit sandwich. |

No, typically Tackles don't make good Guards. Trent Williams did it for a game after an injury and was good but he's a rare breed. Also Flowers is really bad |
Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
I don’t know if this is true, but wouldn’t surprise me.

Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Flowers is horrendous. The fact that we're considering him is bad enough. But it's so much worse that they think so little of Geron Christian that they'd consider bringing in Ereck Flowers as competition.

How in the hell did Snyder get filthy rich as a businessman and operate the Redskins the way he does? It makes no sense. |

Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Not sure I'm buying EB's source. He made it sound like Gruden's been in the dark about stuff. Just don't believe that.
But really this entire staff and front office just needs to go after this year. We're not going anywhere w/ Gruden, Manusky and Allen. That much I know. Allen is a loser who will say/do anything to Snyder to keep his job. Jay is a so so head coach. He still can't even manage the game and is a predictable play caller. To me he's a position coach. I've never been less excited about an upcoming season as I am for 2019. |

https://www.nbcsports.com/washington/redskins/sports-junkies-jay-gruden-not-consulted-redskins-free-agency-moves
Sorry, I'm not buying the idea that he is uninformed with what's going on in free agency. Just because he doesn't get a phone call every time a free agent is signed, doesn't mean he wasn't involved. This year's potential free agents have been known for months, and I'm sure they put together their target list long ago - after the season ended. He's not the one signing the checks, or working the cap space, so as far as free agency goes, his work is done really. It's Bruce, Doug, and Eric's job to give him the best players they think they can afford, and that fit the schemes, and his job to coach them. |

EB of the Junkies is all about gossip. Gruden may not be happy because he works for shitty people like Allen and Snyder, but they did extend him and he's made life changing money. |

Lets wait and see the contract details. Hopefully a small signing bonus and a incentive base salary. If he cannot play guard cut him. |

That's a lot of money for a camp body. Whoever signed off on this gets a black stain for their talent evaluation. |

Hard to see how this makes sense. T and G aren’t interchangeable necessarily and by any objective measure, Flowers was a crappy T for NYG. I can see it now: Kerrigan: Hey man. Sorry for abusing you for the last 7 years, although I appreciate the help getting to the pro bowl. We good? Flowers: Yeah. Kerrigan: You know that the matador impersonation needs to end, right? Flowers: Kerrigan: Is that a yes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Scherff was mostly a tackle at Iowa wasn't he (not that he's Scherff)? |

Right. I said he's no Scherff. Maybe Callahan can get more out of him, maybe he'll be gone this summer. Time will tell. |
Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
I was pretty stoked about the Landon Collins signing sure hope he can also play oline, linebacker, qb, receiver and st's.
|
Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
I'm going to throw up if Collins wears a Hogs 2.0 shirt.
He has been hot garbage his whole career and universally declared not only a bust but a bum who has been benched everywhere he has been. This signing is stupid on every level. He can't play and they could have added that 4 mil to a Crowder offer. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |
