Re: trump Inpeachment...............
The Iran Deal wasn't a good one but did in the short term stop the nuclear program.
First, lets establish the Iranian cause to pursue Nuclear aspirations is for weapons and not their so-called energy reason. Iran has ALWAYS stated they do not want to pursue a nuclear weapon, that is a LIE. So you are negotiating with a LIE to begin with...not good. The deal overlooked ballistic missile...AKA THE WEAPONS delivery system of a nuclear weapon. Lets think real hard: Stop developing Nuclear aspiration for the short term while investing in Ballistic Missile technology which they tested WHICH VIOLATED UN resolutions IMMEDIATELY after the nuclear agreement: March 9, 2016: Iran test launches two different variations of the Qadr medium-range ballistic missile. March 14, 2016: U.S. Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power says she raised Iran's ballistic missile tests at a Security Council meeting, saying that the tests are inconsistent with UN Security Council Resolution 2231. March 15, 2016: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif defends Iran's missile launches saying that the missiles are permissible under UN Security Council Resolution 2231 because the missiles are not designed to be capable of carrying nuclear warheads. Also the Sunset Clauses allowed for Iran to begin a nuclear aspirations immediately. Iran was already planning for this as they was documents were leaked July 18, 2016: Iran's research and development plan for advanced centrifuge machines, leaked to the AP, is reported on in the press. July 29, 2016: In a statement, the IAEA notes it sent a letter to Iran denying it was the source of leaked information about Iranian plans for phasing in advanced centrifuges in 2027. The sunset provision list 15 years...that's a lie, it allowed for research just after 10 years. Also, the money given to the Iranian in the deal allowed them to fund their proxies specifically in Yemen were they started and continue to fight a civil war. Also fund Hezbollah (terrorists) operations throughout the region specifically in Lebanon against US troops and allies in the Syrian conflict as well as operations against Israel. US intelligence has followed the money. Also, lets not turn a blind eye to Iraq and how the Obama administration completed fucked up and let Iran come in and take over. Lets look at the NYT article which documents the certified morons in the Obama Administration during this time period. This article is from November: The Iran Cables: Secret Documents Show How Tehran Wields Power in Iraq https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/11/18/world/middleeast/iran-iraq-spy-cables.html The Iran deal was a fuck up, big time...we can easily point to what has happened since |
Re: trump Inpeachment...............
When it comes to this situation, Iran killed a US contractor and attacked a US Embassy just in the last couple weeks...Souliman killing is a justified response.
I hope after this Iranian attack...which looks to be symbolic not which looked to do more damage than loss of life...we should talk tough, but de-escalation when it comes to aggressive military operations. Nobody wants a full fledge military operation... |

Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
We haven't had any Iranian attacks (against us) for years. You do realize that Iran was fighting against ISIS, not supporting them. They are allies with Syria, who were/are fighting ISIS. In fact, Iran has had more to do with ISIS being obliterated than we are. |

But if it happened, that's just how inept these folks are...its not a good look. Yes, that was a weak response after tough talk. We know the largest US base with more US personal that was actually much closer to Iran (IE, an easier target) was avoided. Also, they called ahead to the Iraqis, who let us know an attack was coming. This was a symbolic strike meant not to harm US troops...and that's fine, but we know exactly what it...saving face. News flash NC Skins, Iran Proxies in Iraq have been launching rockets at US bases for well almost a year...we have something like 16 incidents documented. They have escalated incidents which is why we killed like 25 of them several weeks ago before sending Soulimani to hell last week. I get it, we just defer in approach...but I think we both agree no one wants a war with Iran, including Iran from their actions or lack of, last night |

Sure, since we pulled out of the agreement. Those rockets weren't coming prior to that. Not on our forces anyway. The link I posted earlier shows the steps they've been doing (that we know of) since Trump pulled out of the treaty. This is them fighting back against the economic sanctions. Of course it was a weak attack. It was meant to be. Iran isn't stupid. They don't want a war with us either because they know they'll lose. That said, they'll bring the pain to our allies and our people in that region. They would use proxy armies at that point to target civilian areas as well as military. Iran has the backing of Syria, Russia, and China. It's not some pushover either. |

That's been their MO for 30-40 years. Iran has never been the victim...they simply refuse to act in good faith with the rest of the world. Souliman was a line in the sand...His name for airstrike has been on the list for 10 years...so when the US Embassy was attack which threaten US lives the Trump administration right after US contractor being killed the week before, line was crossed and big response in a message of deterrence was sent. Also, anyone notice Kim Ju Fat shut the fuck up? He was talking a lot of shit about Christmas gifts. His bbq'd fat ass burning in an air strike would feed half the country. |

Re: trump Inpeachment...............
Absolutely the Iranian backed down.
Not only that...back check this out: Top Iraqi Shia cleric calls for his militias to stand down From CNN's Mitchell McCluskey and Salma Abdelaziz Iraq’s leading Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr called for his militias to stand down on Wednesday night, following President Trump’s address in which he urged for de-escalation in the region. “This crisis is over, especially after Trump's speech and the Islamic Republic's speech,” al-Sadr said in a statement posted on Twitter. On Jan. 3, al-Sadr ordered his previously dismantled militia, the Mehdi Army, to regroup to “protect Iraq” after the death of Qasem Soleimani. In his statement on Wednesday, al-Sadr asked his militias not to take action. “I call on the Iraqi factions to be patient, not to start military action, and to silence the voice of militancy from some of the disciples until all political, parliamentary and international methods are exhausted,” al-Sadr said. G1...look the Obama "appeasement strategy" towards Iran didn't work. Iran has been for the last 8 months committing multiple aggressive acts: attack on Saudis, capturing British ship in strait, rocket attacks on base, killing of US contractor....they know they went too far. Trump inserted a Deterrence strategy move...basically a line has been cross, quit it now with an aggressive move. Iran has backed down. |

They weren't. To say they were is a huge lie and bullshit. https://www.armscontrol.org/act/2019-04/news/iaea-says-iran-abiding-nuclear-deal
The IAEA quarterly report on Iran’s nuclear program, released publicly just days after Amano’s statement, contains additional details demonstrating that Iran is abiding by the deal’s terms. It notes that Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium is below the 300-kilogram cap set by the JCPOA and that Iran has not enriched uranium above the limit of 3.67 percent uranium-235, far below the 90 percent level considered useful for weapons purposes. The report notes that the agency has had access to “all the sites and locations in Iran which it needed to visit.”
From our own military command: https://www.thedailybeast.com/us-strategic-command-chief-iran-abiding-by-nuclear-deal
Iran is abiding by the terms of the historic nuclear agreement reached under President Obama, the head of U.S. Strategic Command said on Wednesday. “The facts are that Iran is operating under the agreements the we signed up for under the [deal],” Gen. John Hyten said at an event at the Hudson Institute
Now, what they were doing is updating their research on ballistic missiles. That isn't part of the nuclear deal though. |
Re: trump Inpeachment...............
NC, go back to my original post where twice out of a timeline I pointed out issues of ballistic missiles which were in violation of un res and the discovery Iran was researching for the development of advanced centrifuges technology which would allow for them to enrich faster in to build a nuclear weapon once the provisions this short term deal was over.
The Iranians were only out of compliance a couple times in the agreement which they quickly came back within guidelines of holding heavy water and other things...so yes, from the perimeters of the deal, Iran was abiding by it. That's not the argument...the argument is the deal was bad, the cash we gave them combined with sanctions lifted was used to by arms, develop there military and then used to fund violent proxy wars in Yemen, Isreal, and Saudi Arabia. Also the Sunset clauses in research and development put Iran in position to restart their Nuclear plan in the future. It just wasn't tough enough and like Ive said, its been proven since the deal has been in place. Iran has ramped up the violence in the region. Please don't act like Iran is some good actor in the Middle East, they are not. The deal allowed them to become more violent and even expand operations. We disagree on how things should be and have been handled in the past..i get it. |

This is a bad look G1. Can you post who claimed these were conspiracy theories? My guess is the mainstream media who has been lying about this shit from day 1. Chalk this one up as Chico was right again. Is MSNBC still running the report that 30 US troops were killed in the Iran strike? They were running fucking Iran propaganda...pathetic! Also, bravo to NBC reporters, CBS and the AP trying to assign blame to Trump over the incompetence of the Iranian army. They were pushing the "crossfire" conspiracy theory I guess? There was never any crossfire folks...its a lie. This is a tragic consequence of Iranian aggression and pure incompetence. Our military could turn Iran into a sheet of glass if we wanted. Im hoping after this down plane the US and Mideast should come together and realize perpetual aggression just leads to more heartbreak. Iran should call there proxies home and stop attacking and plodding a aggression in sovereign nations throughout the middle east. |

That isn't part of the nuclear deal though.
I don't think it was a lie. The Iranians have every intention on getting their hands on a nuclear missile. The Iran deal was nothing more than a mirage to give the illusion of a political win for Barack Obama. What sad is that leftists in this country will believe anything that comes out of the left no matter how irrational it might be. This is the problem I have with the Iran deal. First, the UN has to give Iran 23 day notice before they can perform a "random" inspection. That's like telling someone who's suspected of dealing drugs you're going to give them a few days notice before getting a search warrant. Would that make any sense to you? Second, the UN is not even allowed to inspect all of Iran's nuclear facilities. How in the hell does that make sense? On top of that Barack Obama gives them 150 billion dollars? What is so bad is that even after the deal Iran is still funding terrorist and waging proxy wars all across the Middle East. Not only that they have been firing at US ships throughout the Obama presidency. The deal hasn't stopped them from doing any of these things what's to stop them from developing a nuke immediately after the Iran deal expires? Donald Trump wants real random expectations, he wants access to all of their facilities, and he wants a permanent deal. I totally agree with him on that.. |
Re: trump Inpeachment...............
A 23 day warning is a one second warning with radioactive half-life there is zilch they could do to cover up which is why they got busted in one of the inspections. You can’t hide radioactive decay in the tens of thousands to millions of years on the half-life.

Re: trump Inpeachment...............
Who, what, where, when, why, was anyone protesting the death of Soleimani on the grounds of his innocence, aside from Soleimani supporters?
Because I have yet to see any Democrat say Soleimani didn't deserve to die because he was innocent. It's the timing of the act. It's the complete lack of evidence the Trump administration presented to Congress regarding the "imminent" terrorist attacks he was plotting. It's the fact that Trump is trying to distract from his impeachment proceedings, and it's totally working because everybody completely forgot about that shit as soon as he started escalating shit with Iran. It's the fact that Iran was abiding by terms of the treaty (by the word of our military, intelligence community, and the international inspectors) and Trump still decided to back out anyways, and then raise sanctions on Iran, forcing their response, and then escalating it yet again by killing a high-ranking leader. Literally one man was this close to finding a way past all the god damn safeguards our constitutional founders wrote to make sure a president needed the approval of Congress to go to war with someone. The only conclusion I can make is that Soleimani would still be alive today if he had some dirt on Biden to offer Trump. In fact, Trump would probably be singing his praises given his wide admiration for other despots. |
