Re: Skins v. Packers Gameday Thread
Anderson is hurt. The new GM and HC are going to have a tough call on Haskins. He has so much going against him - predictable playcalling, porous OL, no TE talent. It’s difficult to predict if he’s the future franchise or not. The Redskins may have a top 3 or 4 pick which could get us an elite Edge rusher or OT or QB.

Drew lock so far today 22/27 309 yard 3 TD with a first year o-coordinator

Re: Skins v. Packers Gameday Thread
Another factor going against Haskins is the Jurassic running scheme from Callahan. The team should be running play action plays and just more passes to work Haskins out.

McLaurin is a great rookie for us. Even the announcer is saying: “it’s too late to start a passing attack”. We should have been doing this from the start. You can’t beat Aaron Rodgers by running it 25 times a game.

We were way closer than anyone could have rightfully expected. Now I don't want to win another game.

3 wins 10 losses

Re: Skins v. Packers Gameday Thread
Haskins showed he can move it down the field IF he has the right play calling. Callahan’s style of offense hasn’t worked in the NFL since the 1960’s.

Proud of the players except for Moses. The coaching staff went out of their way to make sure we lost. Fuck all the coaches for going out like bitches today.

Re: Skins v. Packers Gameday Thread
The Packers also showed that with a young, energetic HC, you can win. Snyder needs to fire Bruce Allen, Callahan and Manusky and go with a real GM and a fire breathing, young HC.

Callahan is just trying to keep the clock running and not lose by too much. We saw what happened with Gruden when they just aired it out

Re: Skins v. Packers Gameday Thread
The team only opened up the play calling on the VERY LAST,desperation offensive series. The Redskins scored - imagine that!
Callahan is married to his super run-heavy offense, whether we are behind by 14 or not. We ran on 90% of the first down plays. We passed on about 80% of the third downs. That predictably is a killer for a young team like the Redskins. If this team had proper coaching, we would win 4 or 5 more games even WITH THE CURRENT players. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/quote] This absolutely. We have talent all over this team. Do we need help in some positions? Yes, of course, we do. O-Line needs help. The back end of the defense needs help. TE needs help. But competent coaching would go a long way towards making us a middle of the road or better team. There is no way we shouldn't be competitive in the NFC Least. |
Re: Skins v. Packers Gameday Thread
The future of this team comes with whether Snyder fires Bruce Allen or not. Without dumping BA the coaching will stay at the current poor level. Only the mediocre or very inexperienced will come to coach here with BA as the GM and VP. It’s as simple as that.

Yup...also zero faith in Haskins. None at all |
Re: Skins v. Packers Gameday Thread
Look at drew lock...worse oline, way worse, rookie HC and first time o coordinator.
Where are his excuses? 100 times the passer than Haskins. It’s not fucking close |
Re: Skins v. Packers Gameday Thread
well, darn, I was wrong about this narrative.
but they did let Skins march down field to cover. |

This was a bad performance today by Haskins

Until Haskins has a unfettered OC with a real NFL offensive scheme, I think you have to give him more time. Ultimately he may end up being a RG3, Jason Campbell or Heath Shuler draft busts. But when you use a first round #15 pick you have to give him a proper shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Skins v. Packers Gameday Thread
Dwayne proved he can play through pain today which is good but there is no doubt that he really struggles with accuracy, if that doesn't improve he will not b a starter for very long.

Re: Skins v. Packers Gameday Thread
Just when it looked like Haskins was making some progress he turns in another shit sandwich. I know he is a rookie but Lock comes in today played well on the road. We have yet to see anything from Haskins that resembles what Lock did.
Otherwise I thought these guys played hard, but they got no help from the coaches. Who the fuck is calling that an NFL offense? Unimaginative, predictable that is the Redskins offense. They should have put Case in the game if you ask me. |
