Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
HARD pass on Ridder. It's Corral or Pickett in the first round or bust. Ridder made no plays, isn't accurate, didn't look of any of his wr's getting numerous balls batted.
In a game like this one you want to see something. Joe Burrow and Fields had performances in their biggest games where you knew they are 1st rounders. I saw nothing from Ridder at all. Just nothing. Mid round project imo. |
Herbert kind of sailed under the radar. Had it not been for Taylor's injury he might not even have been starting this year. Anyone in this years draft look like the same kind of possibility?
Uh no Herbert was highly rated and many thought he'd go #1 in 2019 if he entered the draft. In 2020 he was rated as one of the top 7-10 players by just about everyone. None of the 2022 QBs are generally ranked in the top 10. It is a horrible year to draft a QB high. Maybe we will get lucky (Mahomes, Watson and Jackson weren't ranked top 10). |
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Revisionist history nonniey. He was rated top 7-10. Not even close. You would be hard pressed to find a top 10 ranking for him. After the pick many pundits gave the pick a C. Highest grade I could find was a B. He was hardly considered a no brainer.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Ridder certainly did not have a big game. But a lot of that may be on the hands of a poor offensive game plan and the fact that his offensive line was continually dominated. But it seems to me that, as someone else noted, he is a QB who would have to be developed. so if teams like the Colts or Titans could pick him up in the second round and let him sit and learn for a year or two, that would be a good move. But WFT needs help NOW. So I certainly would not use a first round picki on him in this draft.

Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
2019 is irrelevant he came out in 2020. Wasn’t considered a top 10 prospect in 2020 and pundits graded the pick a C on average. It appears to have turned out okay for chargers. |

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I hate not having that 5th round pick. I think we need guys at 7 positions. But we only have 6 picks. Would like to add a CB to this group. But there is free agency too.
9: R1 P9 - QB Matt Corral - Ole Miss 41: R2 P9 - S Jaquan Brisker - Penn State 73: R3 P9 - RB Breece Hall - Iowa State 111: R4 P9 - OT Dare Rosenthal - Kentucky 188: R6 P9 WR Charleston Rambo - Miami 228: R7 P9 LB Olakunle Fatukasi - Rutgers |

Breece Hall would start over Gibson. Gibson then could be used all over, like how he was in college, and find a way to get him the ball 10 times a game, give or take. The offense needs more weapons, I think he would add to our offense greatly. |
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
We need 2 LB’s (in this draft I go LB first) QB, then CB, S, LT

Definitely need to add at least 2 LBs this offseason. Hopefully we can sign a solid veteran starter. Mock drafts before FA are largely irrelevant. I just like doing them to learn about different players coming out. More for fun and knowledge than any real clue what positions we still need more help in. |

I said he kind of sailed under the radar, and meant in the sense he wasn't touted as a top 2-3 pick, but clearly should have been with hindsight. I mean, had we known what we know now, any doubt we'd have taken him over Young? What I'm asking in this case, as I don't see much at all of college ball over here, is there any guy coming out that might be a similarly somewhat underrated QB? Worth taking a shot at with a top 10 pick? I sense not. |

He still might end up there, but it's not sure-fire. |

Wagner is the heart of that defence, and they have tons of cap space, why would they release him?

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
There goes Matt Corrall, hurt knee.
|
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Watching Corral in the Sugar Bowl and he looks like a talented version of Heineke. Unfortunately with his size and his playing style, I think he would get killed in the NFL.

He just got killed in the bowl game with a possible torn knee. |

Hard pass on Corral he runs too much and is hurt a lot.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
We will never win until Snyder sells or dies.
He is an evil motherfucker that brings nothing but evil upon others. Corral is fucked and we're fucked. I don't want Pickett with his little midget hands. He wears Gloves in domes. And he is also already 22 or 23. |

Wilson annoys the fuck out of me, but he's really good. I could learn to love him. And if a trade could be reasonably made, do it. Until we get a legitimate QB, we have no chance. Even then, Snyder is a humongous piece of shit human, so we're all probably still screwed anyways. |
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Wilson won’t come to Washington..
I’d offer CY and our 2022 first for Watson (if he clears) If that can’t happen then draft Pickett and hope he’s the guy |

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
We should have gone for Mac Jones. There is no good answer available in this offseason.

Ridder is a better prospect than Corral. The Pitt QB far and away is the best prospect for QB needy teams. |

Could Garbers be this drafts Davis Mills? This year is unknown for him being that Cal played 4 games but the talent is there.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Looks like we will be picking between 7 and 13.
|
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Both Wilson and Watson have no trades and don't want to come to Washington. We need to hope for a Ryan Tanahill type come back out of trubisky or Marrota.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I opposed taking him with our first but how about Corral in the 2d or 3rd? Since he was injured imagine he might be available later in the draft. Any of this year's QBs would really have had to have a redshirt year anyway.

Don’t get me wrong I think Taylor has the heart of a champion but it’s his arm I have issues with ..another Qb to keep eye on is Bailey Zappe .. |

I think TH may still start be they will.bring in a rookie and probably a vet .

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Two years ago the Bengals picked first and we picked second. Two years later, the Bengals win the AFC North and we ........ well you know. Far beyond the players who are picked, I am seriously doubting the people who pick the players. Bengals picked J'Marr Chase this past year and and he is an ROY candidate. We picked Davis and ....... well, you know. We wind up cutting our 4th round pick from 2 years ago.
I am beginning to seriously doubt the people directing this franchise, including Rivera. |

Not really apples to apples. My take away from Cincy is look what a true franchise QB can do for an organization. IMO you give Houston everything try to get Watson here and start building around him. He is young and proven. |
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
It looks to me like they have two choices , trade for Watson (which I am not sure about) or ride with Heinike and a rookie QB. Neither is ideal but that is the situation
