That was like second thought when I heard this news. It was kinda like Philly waited because they knew the Cowboys were being aggressive trying to acquire a CB. Smart move by them

Unless the Jets are successful right away, which they could be, seeing Rodgers handle the New York media is going to be wildly entertaining.

I just don't think the Jets have the cap space to do what Rodgers wants done. He wants the GB Packers AFC East and he can't get it.

Who knew Rodgers would be a pussy ass bitch.
Rodgers is like Clyde Drexler, one of the all-time greats but could never live up to the GOAT, MJ/TB12.

Dallas Cowboys and RB Ezekiel Elliott officially are parting ways and he now will be a free agent, per source.

Rare is the day when your "stud" running back starts 14 games and his backup makes the Pro Bowl.

RB is a young man's game. Hope you land on your feet Zeke.

Slay is going nowhere:

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports CB Darius Slay is “expected to stay with the Eagles."

A previous report indicated the Eagles were still working on finding a way to keep Slay. Less than two hours later, a source close to the situation (Slay's wife Jennifer) tweeted “WE HERE BABY!!”. Even if Schefter didn’t call it a done deal, it’s safe to say Slay isn’t going anywhere. He will likely return on an extension that reduces his 2023 cap hit while giving him more money down the road. The Eagles were forced to watch a handful of starters from their otherworldly defense walk in free agency, but they managed to hold onto their cornerback duo of Slay and James Bradberry. They should still mount one of the most formidable defenses in the league this year

Why are pundits saying he will come to Washington? I have zero interest in that Fanny pack belly shirt wearing has-been. Less than zero.

Schweitzer got signed by the Jets it appears. Decent versatile pickup.

I've taken a lot, if Zeke comes here I'll fucking revolt. I'll hack into the motherboard of this site too, and take it down with me.

I think Curl will be looking at Bates' contract, not this one. On a different note, I'm surprised there was limited market for Garner-Johnson. He played pretty well last year.

Arizona is shopping DHop. I don't want him anywhere in the NFC. Was concerned he'd go to the Cowpukes as some speculated.

I like Curl but he’s a tier below Bates and Garner-Johnson right now is a better player. 9-10 million per would be a nice payday for him and honestly I don’t see him getting more than that on the open market

I agree with you (minus the amount, I don't know what the real value for Curl is), but if I'm Curl's agent, I will be starting at the point that is similar to Bates' contract.

Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread

I'm hoping they can lock Curl in for 20-22M over 3 years. With Forrest on his rookie contract we could have both safety positions in place for at least 2 years. And I really like what I've seen from Forrest so far.

Curl is coming into his own still as a player as well. I don't think his ceiling has been reached or gotten THAT close to yet

Haven't seen this posted anywhere and is a bit of old news, but Cam Sims signed with the Raiders:

@BenStandig
Free agent WR Cam Sims has agreed to contract terms with the Las Vegas Raiders, source tells
@TheAthletic. Was with Washington since 2018.

While I initially laughed at this when I see cousins and Murray ranked so high…I then reality kinda sets in, nfc is really lacking in QB talent.
