Yep.

And both sides love to use [insert any political subject here] as a political carrot.

We're let down left and right, and have been for a long, long time. It's never about fixing anything. It's about blaming the other side and being re-elected.

The point is raising the cap does little to extend the solvency. The CBO showed you have to adjust the benefits if you really want to fix it long term. People are living longer, much longer than when SS was first implemented. Raising the age to receive the max retirement benefit for those that are currently young made the most sense.
Patently and utterly false. Vote for Biden if you support the constitution, LOL. Biden hates the constitution. He would rip it up and pretend like it didn't exist in a heartbeat if he could. So would 99% of elected democrats and un-elected bureaucrats. A vote for Biden is a vote against America.

As a site/community, we should all vote for someone besides Trump or Biden. This whole accepting there are only 2 choices forever, has led us to exactly where we are today. A once great country fading to shit.
I don't think he hates the Constitution but will confess I really don't know. I doubt we have had a President in the last 100 years that would willingly accept term limits without the Constitution. I think Nonniey's point is valid though. Between the two only one has accepted operating in the confines of the Constitution.

Trump is a shithead. Won't get any argument from me there. But Biden is a terrible president now and will be in 2024. Voting for him is not the answer (neither is Trump). And I personally don't believe for a second, he gives 1 shit about the constitution.

Maybe not but as Baltimore pointed out he operates within the constitutions confines. Trump doesn't which makes him an enemy of that document.

Obviously raising the cap alone doesn't solve everything, but it's part of it along with possibly raising the full retirement age (it's already been slowing creeping up), modifying the benefit formula and/or making it means tested.

This was a very depressing ruling. That favors developers over clean water, storm surge protection. We have already drained and filled 90% of all wetlands in the United States it is not radical to want to conserve 10%. What is radical is allowing the filling of it all. The intentionally vague language of continuous surface connection to major bodies of water are going to lead to more exploitation and the cancerous ideology of this county.

I have no problem disagreeing with the ruling. But it was 9-0. The simple default to just labeling everything MAGA when it doesn't go your way is lazy at best. But really, it's just being a piece of shit lying scumbag, a Schumer specialty.

Bridge too far, was enjoying a western last night when I saw this. thinking about frontier justice back then would be appropriate now.

Minors can’t consent and these folks should be locked up for child abuse if you cut up children or chemically castrate them. Should be a law that protects kids from these decisions until 18.

Ex-con Chicago ‘peacekeeper’ helped beat, rob motorist: cops

Oscar Montes, 31, had on one of the special yellow neon vests — worn by a city-appointed group of “peacekeepers” meant to help suppress violence over the historically violent stretch — when the crime occurred Friday, outlets said.

So let me get this straight, Chicago new crime initiative is to move away from police and hire local unemployed, give them the title “peacekeepers”. Who then rob and beat people legally?

Amy Wilks
Worked at Apple (company)5y
An Apple employee won’t try and stop you, Apple store’s do have security people though who may stop you if they notice you before you leave the store. If you do happen to leave the store though most Apple employees or security people won’t bother pursuing you, because any apple product you could steal (you’d only be able to steal the tech products on the floor) that’s worth anything (money wise) has an inbuilt security system that will cause an alarm to go off in the product & disable the product once it leaves the store’s wifi meaning that, you will be unable to use the product, it will be dead, worth nothing. Most people end up bringing back the product they’ve stolen because the alarm is so annoying, when this happens we employees don’t say anything simply thank you and goodbye.

Most experts agree that a president does not have authority to end birthright citizenship through an executive order, primarily because the practice is enshrined in the Constitution.
