this is a major gear grinder of mine!

My wife orders propel drinks from amazon; the box weighs a million pounds and they pack it so dumb like a box with in a box with in a box , its like a Matryoshka Doll

It comes every other week about and my wife just loves to ignore it and make it my problem, i just left it on the front porch all last week , they froze and some of the bottles spilt, she got mad i was like you don't even want deal with that box why the hell do i want deal with it , i don't drink them, stop ordering them

so frustrating

it be like if i bought a 30 pack of natty light and just left it sitting out and expected her to break down the box and put all the beers in the fridge

2. Prime drinks…effing Logan Paul hydration drink has the kids hooked. I hate fucking guy
3. Not on subscription but she will get the Starbucks frap for the daughter because drinking coffee is cool in 7th grade

I love to see the ratio of returns by gender, i bet my life it is a higher percent female; whenever i go to buy something i never thing i can return i am always like this is a final contract

imagine retail prices if you took returns away; they have to go down it has to be an enormous expense to stores/amazon

I had a huge one cut off my back last year, it was in an unreachable spot between my shoulder blades. Diameter almost 3" long. Took like 7-8 stitches and healing it was a bitch but I'm glad its gone. Hope yours goes smooth.

I'm pretty upset about Southwest being raided by private equity - been a loyal Southwest customer for almost 10 years now and I loved them because I took full advantage of their bags policy.

First they got rid of free seats and I thought that would be the end of it but now that 2 free checked bags are dead I probably won't be returning after my flight to Chicago next month. Their service has declined and now there's no financial benefit to sticking with them.

RIP to one of the last customer friendly companies out there.

Dang, that's a big one. Definitely a trickier spot than mine.

Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to having it taken care of. Just going to a doctor always makes me nervous even if I know what is likely happening.

Picking between a male and female doctor is always tricky. The assistant was a cute girl then the doctor comes in and she's a very attractive woman. And my first time meeting them, I've having them look at essentially a giant neck pimple. Man, that was not cool lol (not that I had a shot with them, but still).

But in general, I think I'm more comfortable talking to a woman doctor.

HA! I go to my dermatologist at a "learning hospital". My doc says, "Is it OK if the interns come in?"

In come 4-5 UVA students in their 20s watching me naked while my dermatologist grabs my business and moves it side to side looking for skin cancer. Good times.

LOL, good luck with that. I didn't have the luxury, had to call like 5 different dermatologists to find one that didn't have a 3 month waiting list just to see a doctor. Had to go with this young kid who looked barely out of med school. But he did a solid job so no complaints.

Charleston is definitely a health-care hub. I called Monday morning and got an appointment for today. It was available because of a cancel, but even still, there apparently wasn't a long waiting list (assumingly because there are a lot of dermatologists here). Sucks you had to go through the ringer for an appointment.

Apparently we can rope in TMC with healthcare stories. We need other people to pitch in here, can't just be Mooby and me.

I caught a bit of the whole Amazon packaging fiasco, and I'm glad my wife can't see this, but her Amazon ordering drives me crazy. She'll order 20 things, return 18 of them and then I get, "Heeey, can you help me pack all this up?"

Rage.

Not only that, it makes it really hard to figure out finances when you have like $500 charges from Amazon that you're not sure if it will stick because she keeps the stuff or not. People have everyone by the balls with these mail order clothing things... Stitch Fix can burn in hell.

JD made the entire football season fucking awesome. Since I haven't been posting a lot, back story is my wife and I moved during COVID and we both work at UVA now. She's in Major Events at the president's office and in charge of the UVA football suite. While UVA football SUCKS, it's pretty sweet getting to go to all games 1) for free 2) in a box and 3) all you can eat and drink. I can usually get my tailgating friends in for free, so we all get hammered in the parking lot, go into game, rinse, repeat, each week.

That's Saturday.

Then, Sundays have been so glorious now that we live smack in the middle of VA wine country, we'll wake up, head to a winery or two (since they open at 10 or 11am) enjoy free glasses as wine club members, go home, watch the Commanders dominate.

My waistline did not enjoy Fall, but my heart sure as hell did!

Going to St. Augustine, FL in June for my birthday. Other than that, my life is pretty boring. But not gonna lie, I kinda like it that way nowadays lol.

I can't partake due to my job, but my lady enjoys the edibles too (but she works as a paralegal in immigration so her job is stressful asf).

Other than the insane COL up here things could be much worse. We're making it work though. Got a couple vacations coming up, one week in the midwest and another week in the OBX in May. Women and the beach - name a more synonymous duo.

Honestly boring has its' perks nowadays. I have a couple friends who are career feds and they're both super nervous about their jobs now. Working a fed job used to be a good thing up here, it meant career stability. Now it's become politicized like everything else so if you lose it you're competing with a shit ton of other feds who got let go and there aren't many positions around here that pay the same.

Makes me thankful I work in local gov't. Used to be a time when I wanted a fed job but not anymore.

I know many Fed employees plus a few Family members, The sad part is the misconception that they are lazy and do nothing. Sadly it will be too late by the time others realize just how much Federal employees did and how well they did it. The collateral damage from this will be devastating. I retired but went back to work for the State of Maryland at the District Court and re-retired after 5 years due to the commute.

I'll be in OBX this weekend working on the cottage. Love the place but its changed so much over the years.

You should go at least once but honestly I feel like most popular beaches are very similar.

Only time I went was for my brother's wedding a couple years ago, it was pretty nice but Nags Head/etc was crowded. This time my girl's parents rented out a house for us at Hatteras which is hopefully more secluded. I don't mind the beach but after a couple days it gets a little boring. But this was an xmas gift from her parents and she loves the beach so I ain't complaining.

Agreed. I work for a local county near DC and I hate this notion that gov't workers are lazy. Granted there are a couple but no different than any job. If someone tried telling me I have this fantastic cushy gov't job I'd tell 'em to pound sand. I don't get up at 4 am every day to coast my way to retirement 30 years from now.

I worked for the State of Maryland at the District Court Warehouse in Annapolis. Living in Charles County I would leave at 6 we would start at 8 but becuase of traffic I needed to leave at 6 but I walk in the Mornings so I was out walking at 3:30am. Going to work was 50 mins and not too bad but coming home was a nightmare. We left at 4:30pm and not a min before. With no tie up or accidents it was an hour and a half. Our Warehouse was close to rt 50 and on Fridays and holiday weeks it was horrible, many a time it was a 2 1/2 hour ride home. I was amazes at how much work the State did and you multiply that to run a Country it's unreal and for anyone to think Federal employees don't work shows just how ignorant they are.

I also work with several people who double dip, they're collecting retirement from some other department and they still work full time for my department. Some of the hardest workers I've ever known too. I'm sure they would be thrilled to know what the public thinks of gov't workers.

Getting charged a 5% take-out fee.

Living in San Diego for a long time, I LOVE Mexican food. So was really excited when a Mexican restaurant opened down the street this week. I had to pay an extra 5% to pick up my own food with my own car and gas? Da fuq? And the food wasn't even good. Safe to say, won't be going back there again. I just don't understand. You could literally make every item on the menu $0.10 more expensive and no one would care.

Note - There was still the normal tip on the receipt too (which I am fine with). Then when I went to pick-up the food, I had to sign for it, even though I already paid for it, and there was a line for "additional tip".

When you are having a weird ass dream that is messing with your sleep, then you actually wake up and think that will be the end of it. Then you fall back asleep and your brain picks-off right where you left on. Literally, like we went to a commercial break.
