Unlike Trump, Biden is a statesman. And also unlike Trump, Biden truly cares about this country. He isn't capitulating to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin or urging treason. He isn't calling Mexicans terrorists between rounds of golf or banning an entire religion from traveling to the country, like Trump's Muslim ban. Instead, Biden is actively trying to work on bipartisan legislation that will make the everyday lives of hardworking Americans easier. Maybe that's the best America can hope for after such a traumatic four years. I agree with this , now do I think Biden is a great President hell no and yes I would like younger blood in Office. |
Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
Jesus, what a bunch of fluff bullshit…a statesmen, that’s the type of thing you say to prop up a politician like Biden who’s had zero policy wins and has folks within his own party calling for him not to run again.
- Afghanistan debacle - spending policies which directly lead to record inflation - record high energy cost due directly to energy policy and heavy regulatory environment - failed to stop Covid, more died under his watch with multiple vaccines handed to him - war in Ukraine, couldn’t deter Putin from a second invasion. Cost the US billions and Russia is fully embedded. - record high food prices which are up 20% since he took office - record high fentanyl deaths - open border which has lead to a flood of fentanyl and child trafficking. Cartel or Mexican terrorists have made billions in smuggling. When it comes to decency…whether he’s saying you ain’t black if you don’t vote for me, comparing losing his car to hundreds of children burnt to ashes, not acknowledging his own grandchild born out of wedlock, refusing questions and interviews to explain his choices in policy, or his record vacations days during his presidency…he’s a bumbling, weak leader who has no decency to speak of. LOL, comparing him to all is BS way of just being a dick. Yeah he was the better of what was out there and he isn't trump. He isn't as good as some but he is a million times better then the alternative. |

Every president gets thought of historically. That's why there are lots of articles with rankings of president's. Not sure why asking a historical question was being a dick, but OK. |

Chill it was said sarcastically. The point of my answer was just to shed a little light on the fact that if it comes down to Candidate A vs Candidate B who is a wanna be autocrat and the leader of a cult ill go with A. Easy decision there. I know your question wasn’t who do i prefer between the two, but remember the whole “any functioning adult 2020” thing when Trump was in office….well that’s where i was going with that. There are dozens of Democrats Id rather see in office than Biden. I remember a time, not to long ago, when blind love and devotion didn’t get behind any presidential candidate or president. I remember a time when liking a president because he was from your own party was reason enough. It didn’t mean you had to follow him blindly and like everything he said or did. This is not about dems vs republicans anymore. This is about democracy vs an autocracy- trump is a wanna be autocrat, and besides Christie a bunch of other wanna be maga kings who still will not condemn Trump publicly. Maga has completely hijacked the GOP. The game has changed. Hence my sarcastic but true answer. Lol |

Presidents of the US have very little impact on the economic activity of the country. Why people assign praise or blame to one guy on a 25 trillion economy is beyond me. whether it’s an R or a D. When you drop marginal taxes rates by 20 or 30 percent like Reagan sure, that’s a step function change. Tinkering by 2% does relatively nothing. Even then there are so many other drivers that have nothing to do with what a president does. (Republican friend of mine texted me this earlier). I just want someone who isn’t a misogynistic, egotistical, crass, racist, nuclear code stealing, con artist. So Biden will do just fine for me. |

Biden is going to win again, easily. Unless Kamala Harris is the VP candidate again. He has to drop her. That might be the only thing to cost him. She's truly fucking stupid. I can't believe 1 person wants her to be president, and Biden is old, zero guarantee he can complete a 2nd term. Replace Kamala Harris with Michelle Obama, it's a landslide. |

I've been sitting on this since the news about Jacksonville broke yesterday, how to discuss it here. It broke my heart and also free'd my heart. It broke my heart, how someone can be filled with such pure hate and absolutely terrorize 3 families he'd never met. It free'd my heart because I'm letting all my anger, frustration, resentment, animosity, etc., go, towards people on this site, every where else in my life, and even people I haven't met. I'm getting rid of it. That's a path to destruction.
I'm hoping y'all can do the same thing towards me here, and I'm going to pray that people that aren't on this site, can forgive me as well. Note - I won't respond to any replies to this post. I'll see everyone I'm Week 1 gameday thread. |

Against it being a black woman who is a democrat. But I know that isn’t what you don’t like about her because you aren’t maga. So just curious.
I dislike her for the same reasons I dislike most politicians: I believe she's a dishonest, power-hungry, flip-flopping, will say anything that benefits her, no standard having, liar. Then she just blames ALL criticisms of her on the fact that she's a woman and black. Black, brown, purple, neon-green and man, woman, transgender, ect., does not absolve you from any criticisms. In fact, it's racist, sexist, transphobic or whatever, to do that. That's not being treated equally, if you're not allowed to be criticized for valid reasons just like everyone else. We've got to be about equal treatment under ALL situations/conditions. And no, that's not to say there aren't racists white people out there, that dislike her solely for that reason (being racist). The thought of her being president terrifies me. She is not good at anything that isn't pre-planned with a speech. That's why when she's speaking in public, it's just a word-salad with all that awkward laughing in it. I don't think she has what it takes to be the president in a pinch. And Biden is way too old to just assume he can complete a 2nd term. There are plenty of other minority candidates that Biden can choose from. I even recommended one, that clearly I don't agree with politically. |

It came across that Biden (and or his administration) didn't trust her with anything and that mistrust transferred to the populous in general and stuck. |

Explosive piece in the Washington Post (by @JStein_WaPo assisted by @BudgetHawks ) showing that the budget deficit is set to 𝒅𝒐𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒆 to $2 trillion this year. This is basically unprecedented in U.S. history during relative peace and prosperity. What happened was falling revenues as inflation came back down, a massive spending spree by President Biden and Congress, and soaring interest rates that *doubled* Washington's net interest costs in just two years But really, the bill is coming for past decisions - massive Social Security & Medicare costs for retiring baby boomers, and continued fiscal expansions by politicians who believed that government borrowing was free because interest rates would keep falling forever. So wrong. This chart doesn’t include the attempted illegal tax payer bailout student loan Biden tried. |
Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
Cracks me up when hard right talks about the budget. Not as much as when they talk about social issues but still hysterical.

Rape
Attempted coup Paying hush money to pornstars Stealing nuclear codes Referring to eliminating student debt as illegal. Come on that’s funny. Once again the economy is not controlled by the President. The biggest problem we got in Congress is the magas refusing to do anything except defend some two bit con artist. Until they are all weeded out there will be a major problem. And anyone who thinks Trump, the king of fiscal irresponsibility, is going to fix it needs to give me that weed they are smoking. |
