No way in hell that happens. Let's see two first round picks, and another player worth at least a late first, early second?
And exactly who does Cleveland have that we'd want on our team?
Who knows? Joe Thomas? I'm not really thinking that there's much to it, he's the only one reporting anything about it. Sure there was apparent interest in them last year from Cleveland, but we're talking about a new FO in CLE. Something tells me that his "source" is more of a "speculator." |
dcsportsradio on twitter saying cleveland wants rogers, campbell, and cooley
interesting but who is dcsportsradio? marc jason (DCsportsradio) on Twitter
There was a 25page thread about this on ES today. its all they were talking about. TK eventually closed the thread because the guy who is "reporting" it has a history of pulling crap out of his butt and getting everyone on ES in a tissy. i guess the guys a total loser and gets his kicks from watching the other losers talk about his made-up crap all day long. TK evidently felt that there was absolutely nothing to this rumor. And in my mind, ES moderators are like petulent 4 year old children who have learned there is no santa clause. by adult standards, theyre ridiculous. but they are like gods to their peers. |
Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread
Yeah that would be too good to be true. We wouldn't do that deal anyway, but I think Cleveland might be just desperate to do something like that.

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread
SmootSmack implied that there had been some trade rumours involving Cleveland and Campbell but that they were long since dead (well, dead since last weekend).

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread
well cleveland just traded for seneca wallace. doesnt seem like our front office is pulling any triggers, I assume they want to make sure they get appropriate value. strange feelings, struggling with newly required patience, this off season!

Wallace is one of "Holmgren's guys" from their together time in Seattle. |

As far as I know Cooley has not been rumored to be part of any trade, some teams have asked about Rogers but I don't think we're willingly giving him up. We're not looking to trade him so much as willing to listen. As for Campbell and Cleveland, yes there were some rumors and it pretty much died this weekend. The Seahawks and Browns basically agreed on a deal for Wallace this weekend, when that happened the Campbell trade talk died. Could be related, could be coincidence. I'm a bit surprised neither Campbell nor Rogers (nor Rocky) for that matter have any scheduled visits (that I know of) anywhere. |

And exactly who does Cleveland have that we'd want on our team?
Brady Quinn! More seriously, Joe Thomas, Eric Steinbach, or Alex Mack? |
Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread
Forget Quinn, but the others might be serviceable.

I mean why schedule a guy for a visit if it's not likely that you get him? I don't know. |
