Damn you're fast, man! I was just about to mention this... looks like the SE is shaping up to be really tough.
You hear this rumor about us maybe being interested in Ruben Patterson? I really hope that isn't true |
Re: The Official 2007 NBA Draft Thread

Talk about chemistry-killer! His game has improved over the past few years and he does alot of the dirty work in the post... still isn't enough to justify a pickup. I like what we've got and what EG's building. |

Looks like JC Navarro might finally be headed here
FCBarcelona.cat It's in Spanish, but basically says that FC Barcelona has released him from his contract so he can pursue his dream of playing in the NBA |

I never though JCN would ever get out of Spain, considering they were going to make him fork up all that cash. This would be a huge part of bench scoring, should he finally make it over. |

That, or he could be a great bargaining chip. Add him to Haywood, Thomas, or Daniels and suddenly you can get a lot more value in return. But he could also be insurance in case DeShawn leaves. Either way, this is definitely big news Here's a little scouting report on JCN. What do you think of that rumored Navarro for Posey sign-and-trade? I don't like it personally. |
Re: The Official 2007 NBA Draft Thread
Not a fan of the Posey rumor. He's a solid player, but he's had his problems and he wants to get paid.
With Pesh, Young, and JCN all coming this year, it's like be had three first round picks in one year (I know JCN was a second rounder, but he definitely would have been a first had he come out this year). Should be interesting to see who we can afford to keep. If we can't pull off a big trade, I suspect we let Deshawn go. |

He's coming to DC...provided a sign-and-trade can be agreed to. But then, the question is why would either Riley or Grunfeld agree to help the other out? Divisions rivals, I don't buy it And if it's really JCN for Posey that's awful. Etan for Posey maybe. And is it just me, or are we all forgetting about Songaila? I'd like to hold on to JCN and see what he can do in this offense |
Re: The Official 2007 NBA Draft Thread
Not only that, but Posey is already 30, and I'm pretty sure JCN is 26. This would be a shame. I see the logic in trading JCN's rights now, especially since Young is supposed to play a similar bench scoring role, but not for Posey.

What do you think of Mehmet Okur?
|
Re: The Official 2007 NBA Draft Thread
mehmet okur is better than the center that the Wizards have now.

Ugh, this isn't a very even trade. Although Posey is the perfect type of defender our team could use... I'd rather use La Bomba as part of a trade to get rid of Etan's contract. |

Well, luckily I heard today that it was just Posey's agent spreading the rumor Ok, now I'm going to bed |
Re: The Official 2007 NBA Draft Thread
