I agree that Campbell is the worst QB in the division - right now.

He is also the least experienced. He has also been jerked around between different offensive systems unlike any other QB in the division. McNabb, for example, has had the same system the entire millenium.

Give JC some time and I think you will see this situation change.

I gotta disagree about the Portis/Westbrook comments posted earlier. Westbrook is very good, don't get me wrong. But Portis can run with him, can catch with him, and is the best pass-blocking back in the league.

A true Skins fan will be patient right now rather than hatin' on the boys.
I agree with everything you and Goat are saying with the expection saying JC is the worst QB in the division. I think E. Manning is the worst in the division. The problem I see with JC this year is he is so worried about thrown an interception that he is playing too scared. He needs to loosen up. Hopefully by game 3 or 4 everyone will see a totally different JC.

After week 1, I am glad that we aren't the Raiders because they looked 10 times worse than we did.

Is that possible? Because I could swear, by the way people are reacting by our week 1 play, they think we're going to be last year's Fins team.

as my signature says...is the sky falling? this is the same type of overreaction i saw here after the panthers debacle in the preseason. Relax redskin fans...the ship hasnt sunk yet.

So now we are down to comparing the Redskins to the Raiders. Man that hurts.
I am not amazed. After spending an entire off season reading post here on TWP of a certain group of very overly optimistic fans saying we were a top team in the NFC east, I was expecting this to happen. I was expecting this kind of reaction from fans. These are the same fans that cried foul when the 'so called' professional prognosticators had us coming in last or next to last in the NFC east this season.
Yeah im alil amazed at some people calling for zorn's head or wanting collins or colt to start; but i was alil amazed at people thinking we were gonna win 10-12 games this year too. I think we have to careful to not lump people venting frustration at JC's lack of progression (like me unfortunately) as a big group who wants JC out of there.

I think if you polled people, the majority would say they want JC to start the rest of the year no matter what but are starting to doubt JC has what it takes to go from a good qb to a great one.

Point is (like in the media) the small percent of extreme views get the majority of the discussion. When I say "JC is good, i hope he can turn it up this year and be great" no one responds and why should they; but if someone posts "JC is a stupid POS and colt should start" they get a million responses telling them why they're wrong. Just human nature but truth be told I think most skins fans are willing to wait and watch this year; read the posts in this thread most people agree with what matty is saying.

so in short i dont think there is a mass fan crisis on our hands, just a few loud spoken dissenters.

go skins!!!!

This may be off subject. But did anybody see vinny cerrato up in the box seats. He looked like a deer in headlights or he snorted some serious shit. His eyes freaked me out I don't want that affiliated with my favorite team. I was hoping all the smack talk about him was just banter but I saw that for the home opener and it didn't look good at all.

He always looks bug eyed. What does that really matter?

I know what you are saying. I saw him too. He looked STRESSED big time. I am sure if the camera paned on our faces we probably looked the same as Vinny.

It was just out of the ordinary. If you see it and pay attention you'll know what I mean. Somebody in his position needs to have a clear head and he looked like he was in another world.

Well come gameday Vinny has about as much control over the team as we do. His game days are between March and June.

If you're surprised at his bug eyed look you clearly haven't seen him before.

It's not anything unusual for him.

This sure is a perfect thread for this Vinny bug eyed talk, isn't it?
