Let's try to think objectively here...[/quote] fair enough, objectively speaking when was the last time dallas receivers had a big day against us? We shut them down both games last year (it was their running in the second game that got us). IF dallas wins, it will not be their receivers that do it, but their running game. Edit: In the first game last year Romo threw for 3 tds, 1 Int, and 300 yards, and they lost. In the 2nd game Romo had 1 td, 2 int's, and 160 yds, and the won. We will not get beat because of their passing game, but if Garrett is smart enough to try and pound it, then we will have a closer game. |
Re: Skins v. Dallas Predictions
Im just hoping that Rak and Carter introduce themselves to Mr. Romo a couple of times this sunday

Do you have amnesia or something? Do you not remember Brandon Marshall running 15 yards free in our secondary just last week? |

For whatever reason, our D ALWAYS starts slow, but it is rare that the D doesn't "get it". One or two big plays don't make or break a game, and I also remember Moss running free in their secondary. The game is 60 minutes, last week, we played 60 minutes for the first time in a long time. If we do that tomorrow, I firmly believe we will win. |

#1 There is nobody on the Cowgirls even close to Brandon Marshall. #2 Our secondary doesn't have amnesia and I seriously doubt we'll blow converages like that 2 weeks in a row. #3 Rogers might not start or even play. |
Re: Skins v. Dallas Predictions
if Haynesworth plays the whole game then i think we might have a chance,if he doesnt play we lose, thats my prediction

Re: Skins v. Dallas Predictions
I just noticed "Brokeback Mountain" is playing on Bravo. Kind of ironic for them to play it on the eve of the Cowgirls game.

It's one thing to bench Rogers for blowing a man coverage responsibility, but once Hall and Kareem Moore both made the same mistake, I think it's too far into the season to write it off as early game jitters.
Part of me wants to think that once the secondary adjusts to actually having a reliable pass rush, their play will improve, but I've been concerned about this group since the preseason, and I'm worried that facing a lot of simplistic passing games has really masked major deficiencies. I think our D has been average going back to the start of last year, but I get the feeling that we're not going to stay average anymore. Either the strength of our pass rush propels the defense back towards the top of the league, and we make a playoff push in the second half, or a thinning secondary forces us into more basic coverages, and teams with vertical threats absolutely expose us. I'm willing to bet that we take away Dallas' run game and either make Romo look really, really terrible, or he has a record day against our secondary if he doesn't. And, well, it's getting closer to December, so perhaps we have that going for us. |
Re: Skins v. Dallas Predictions
I'll say this: Landry's really getting dangerously close to becoming a game-changing player against the pass, as he's diagnosing routes much, much faster (which was his problem--he's always been fleet of foot) and starting to gamble and jump on plays. Combined with a really strong pass rush, I would not be shocked at all if there was a turnover explosion in the second half that leads to the team being able to average 24-26 PPG over the second half.
No word on whether he's ever going to learn how to tackle properly though. |
