Is Pittsburgh a lock for us to play next round if we beat the Canadians or do we play the team with the lowest seed?

Everything I have seen points to the caps playing the winner of the ottowa-pitt series.

It looks like both philly and boston will probably win their series(es?) so the Caps will most likely play philly. Hopefully their fans keep their yak to themselves.

Thats fine. Honestly, the team I didn't want to play was the Habs. Hopefully we can get out clean tomorrow, and move on to the next target. Of the teams that made the playoffs in the east, the Habs were the ones who gave us the most trouble in the regular season. I say NEXT!

Correct. If the Flyers win their series, we'll play them.

just heard varly is in net for game 5, which is music to my ears, his performance in the second last night was epic

i just heard earlier that it wasn't confirmed and heard something along the lines of putting theo back in for confidence. imo keep green and theo off the ice once we get in the playoffs

You do realize that Green is leading the team in ice time right? Outside of the goalies of course.

Well I guess that just means you're more frustrated with his presence on offense, stuff like making long passes, dribbling the puck up ice, taking shots from the point, and I would say he hasn't done a lot of that. However over the last two games the defense has played much better then the first two games, and part of that has to be credited to Varly, but at the same time the defenders also deserve some of the credit.

Green btw is +3 over the course of the last two games compared to -1 during the first two.

Caps defense needs to get way better if they want to win the Cup...defense still wins championships. They need to finish the Habs tonight. We deserve a Champion in DC.
