Re: Expose on the Tea Party Architects
I don't have time to follow idiots so I don't follow politics. It's mostly showboating.
But the group from Delaware should be renamed the Mad Hatter Party. I feel disenfranchised with both parties. I used to be a republican, but they got "religion" and I couldn't stomach it any more. On the other hand, (among other things), the Democrats do a whole bunch of complaining about health care costs leading to health care reform, but do nothing (and never will do anything) about malpractice reform. At least the Republicans feel as though they MIGHT do something about it. I haven't voted for a long time because there hasn't been a candidate I believed in. The real criminal in all this is Pat Buchanon. There was a third party (mostly in the middle) that was started by Ross Perot that was getting traction. While Ross Perot was not a good candidate for the presidency, the party seemed to be viable and was forcing the other parties to be more reasonable (i.e. look for a middle ground.) Then Pat Buchanon found a way to manipulate it so that he would be their presidential candidate and succeeded in destroying the party. I would love it if the parties allowed some leeway to their members to vote as they felt. I thought that the people in Congress were voted there to represent their constituents on the issues, and not to represent their party affiliation. Until the parties stop flexing their "political muscle" on their own members of Congress, I do not see any way we can get a satisfactory government. |
