Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Episode 99)
It's confirmed, Pitta is out of season. Huge blow to Ravens.

No boldin, No pitta. I don't see flacco carrying that offense.

Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Episode 99)
Don't doubt flacco. He's starting to become a clutch QB. Pitta is good, but Ed Dickson is also good. The ravens will be fine. Hell, the just drafted the TE/h-back/FB from Harvard who has some potential.
|
The ravens are going to miss both Boldin and Pitta.
@billbarnwell: To @smartfootball's point, 27 of Joe Flacco's 56 third-down conversions last year -- nearly half -- were to Anquan Boldin or Dennis Pitta. |
Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Episode 99)
Count me as a Flacco doubter. Decent but he needs to take a leap this year.

Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Episode 99)
Not sure what else Flacco needs to do at this point. He's pretty damn proven to me.

Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Episode 99)
Lol. I live north of Bmore and up until the day before he won the Super Bowl, 1/2 the population wasn't a believer in him. They just love to hate him. I think the ravens improved their defense but it could the bengals year in that division.
The eagles still have 6'7" WR freak of nature Ifeanyi Momah in camp. |

Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Episode 99)
Flacco is a good QB, but I wouldnt be worried bout him if I was a Raven fan. That team lost a ton of very solid players this offseason. I think the defense is gonna struggle immensely. leach, bolden and now pitta on offense? this team doesnt win 10

Not in the regular season he isn't. |

So playoffs every season isn't proven? |

Well, I guess Sanchez was a proven QB eh? Will you be saying the same thing once Flacco starts missing the playoffs? |

He plays his best ball in the playoffs and that's a bad thing? His regular season stats are more than solid enough to me, especially with a back like Rice in the backfield. |

What are we going to be saying when his regular season stats aren't good enough to carry the team into the playoffs? I suspect that'll be happening this year. Granted, I realize he's a much better QB than Sanchez in the regular season, just will people be saying the same once they stop missing the playoffs? |
