Re: Around the NFL 2022: Post Draft Edition
I think I called trade and then for the signing to be done on a massage table.
If we got the deal done, I think I suggested Snyder open a massage parlor in the stadium and name it “Tuggy’s” |
Re: Around the NFL 2022: Post Draft Edition
I went back and forth on Watson. Don't remember what my final call was but it's understandable why some people wanted him and some didn't. But as the allegations keep piling up it's clear he would have been a huge mistake.

I'll eat my crow if I have to. At first I thought there might be some plausible doubt. The timing was real suspect with him holding out from the Texans for a new deal - thought it might be a hit job.
But now it's pretty clear he gets off on willing or unwilling masseuses playing with his dong. When every other star player has 1-3 masseuses they trust and you're on #66 and counting - you know you got issues. |

Re: Around the NFL 2022: Post Draft Edition
I'm pretty sure I was in the 'don't go after him' club (innocent until proven guilty), even though the thought of having that kind of talent here was intriguing.
Thankfully, we didn't land him. |
Re: Around the NFL 2022: Post Draft Edition
Hey I admit I wanted him but knew we would never get him
|
Re: Around the NFL 2022: Post Draft Edition
In hindsight, I should have known that even more dirt was coming out. Glad we didn't land him.

This is like some fetish shit. And what’s up with the Texans providing hotel rooms and ndas? They seem a lil complicit. |

More punishments for offseason workout rules violations, per source: -Texans coach Lovie Smith fined $50,000 due to prohibited 1-on-1 OL vs DL drills. -Commanders coach Ron Rivera fined $100,000 and WAS loses two 2023 OTA practices due to excessive contact in practice drills. ********************************* |

Re: Around the NFL 2022: Post Draft Edition
watson wins 14 games it'll become background noise :/ barry bonds was very obviously cheating and no one in SF cared. Peyton Manning was probably going to try one more season, but the allegations of HGH use (to heal from an injury) started to get legs so I think that had some part in his retirement decision (and all of a sudden, all those calls to investigate went away).
criminal court is a high bar for he said/she said (though there are a LOT of shes here). Obviously in civil court he's likely to lose quite a bit in settlements. He wins 6 games and his court cases will be the only thing people mention when they talk about him (and his time in the NFL may take a huge hit). If it's true, I think he should be suspended (hopefully next year after bombing this year to get around the stupid contract tricks they did) and hwe should be hit with judgements on his many many cases. |

Garrett Wilson on a podcast with Ryan Clark and 2 other former players, discussing Rookie Dinner tradition.
