I'm talking about this site, not our team's picks.

We have very very few comments here.
Well we have very few picks so…..

So we should all be excited to talk about the few picks we do have. The 3rd round pick had tumbleweeds rolling through it.

But hell, maybe I'm just being an asshole. Wouldn't be my 1st time here.

Lol. Im very happy about the pick. I think JD is probably thrilled. WR was an absolute necessity. Im still so excited that Sonny found us at 7 though. He is going to just instantly make our D better. Cant wait to watch him dominate.

I'm very satisfied with our draft. While Styles was the "boring" pick it was the right choice. And I'm excited about Williams. Adding another great athlete to the team. And Jayden has to like this pick.

Overall including FA and the draft, we have definitely become way more athletic. Playing fast is fun.

Needed a WR not sure if slot was the right call. I was listening to Sheehan podcast yesterday he mentioned that of all positions WR injury history in college has a high correlation to getting injured in the pros. Williams missed game time with a hamstring injury his senior year (2 games) and only played in 5 games sophomore year due to a lower body injury. I guess we will put that idea to the test.

I think tomorrow we grab some G/C action.

Depends. There are a couple of really good center options but there are 46 picks before we'll have a chance.

Kiper on Williams

“The Commanders took receiver Antonio Williams at No. 71; he's an outstanding football player. Jayden Daniels needs more help beyond Terry McLaurin, and Williams will contribute out of the slot and as a kick returner. He caught 130 passes over the past two years, scoring 15 receiving touchdowns. There's a bit of value to this pick, too. I ranked him 48th overall.”

I'd be happy if we use 3 of the last 4 picks for C, CB and S. BPA with the other. Both lines are pretty solid so even if the C pick was a project, we'd be in good shape. We should be good at LB & WR now, though I wouldn't object to getting Aiyuk in June. A CB and S could round out the secondary nicely. Is our weakest position group maybe RB? Would a late round RB gem like Bill round out our draft nicely?

I think you've nailed it. That is exactly where I'm hoping we go with the remaining picks.

I loved the Styles pick but I'm a little bit down on our 3rd rounder. I'm sure Williams is a good player but I don't think we needed another slot guy and the likes of Brazzell, Bell and Sarratt were all still available

He can play outside.

"Adam Peters lauded Antonio Williams' toughness and work ethic. "We really liked the versatility of him, as well. He played inside this year, he played outside last year. And that's what differentiated him, his ability to win outside."

I suspect Williams is going to be the guy Dyami Brown was supposed to be when we drafted him. Open when Terry is covered and vice versa.

Height is the only factor against him, and we don't have anyone higher (right now) than #3 on the roster that is taller than 6' 1". I'd say McCaffrey, Burks and maybe Brooks are going to have to separate themselves out as that red zone threat to keep a roster spot. That and Sinnott finally coming good.

Funny you mentioned that, I was thinking that Williams looks similar to D. Brown when I watched his highlights. This seems to be a good pick, the WR group is definitely going to be interesting to see how it works out.

I personally still hold some hope for Burks to a good year this year. Burks did decent last year and that was with Mariota. I'm curious to see how Burks plays with JD.

Yep fair enough. Let's hope he is the guy they believe he's going to be. Certainly an upgrade on Lane and McCafffrey and definitely helps the WR room but I just can't help the feeling maybe we could have done a little bit more with the pick.

I really hope he balls out and allays my fears.

And with a full camp and pre-season. I'm with you on this excited to see what Burks can do. More one handed TD catches please!
