If I had any inkling of moving to Connecticut, I'd so be hitting you up for a job. However, I guess this means you visit Eagles Fan boards as well...traitor.

I'm a server, and I get so pissed off....

I'll go ahead and ask people if they've ever been here before, and they'll tell me that they haven't. I start to give them the first timers shpeal, and they cut me off and say they don't want to hear it.

Then all of a sudden they have like 50+ questions.

Maybe if you listened to my shpeal, you wouldn't have any questions you inpatient douche. So many people don't understand restaurants. From tipping, to common courtesy. It's so frustrating.

Re: What's your pet peeve?

People who misuse the term "begging the question." Begging the question is a logical fallacy wherein the conclusion of the argument is stated in one of the premises.

So many times I hear people say, "Well that begs the question, yadda yadda" with some smug look on their face like, "Hey, look how smart I am." What they really mean to say is "That raises the question" or "That brings up the question."

"Begging the question" does NOT mean you're just dying to ask something or that something is demanding (or "begging") to be asked.

When people here misspell the names of Redskins players/coaches. If anywhere, I expect to at least see correct spellings on this site. Some examples:

Carlos Rodgers
Al Sanders
Jason Cambell
Daryl Green
Sean Springs
Shawn Taylor

That just reminded me of one of the dumbest sign I've ever seen at FedEx.

Midway through last year we saw a guy drawing out a sign in one of the ramps that said: "FIRE" AL SANDER

We still mock this sign today but we're still not sure why the word fire was in quotes. Is it possible that this "fan" wanted to actually set poor Al Sander ablaze as if he were a 17th century witch?
Also, who is this mysterious Al Sander anyway? Did this guy not enjoy Al Sander's photographs?

Just had to bring this thread back.

Had a major pet peeve incident this morning. I'm on the highway and I move to the left to pass this guy who is doing about 65 in the middle lane. I cruise past him going about 75, a few minutes up the road I signal to move back to the middle and all of a sudden the dude is right behind me trying to pass me on the right. Hey moron, pick a speed and stick to it. I hate people that slow down and speed up and you basically play this stupid game of leap frog passing each other. A minute ago you were going 65 and now all of a sudden you're going 80? WTF?

People using cell phones while trying to do business or when your out and someone seems to have endless and worthless phone calls. I have made a rule on my boat that cell phone are not used to chat while out fishing. If you wanted to chat on your phone and not with the guys you went fising with then maybe you need to stay at home and talk to your buddies like a bunch of girls chatting. I also hate the guy who has endless phone calls while out on the golf course. I do understand maybe a call or two if its a work day but why play golf if you have to stay on the phone the whole time working. I had a buddy who brought some guy to play and after about 5 holes and 10 calls I just quit playing and told them to go on. The guy had this dumb look on his face and could not understand why I was getting ticked as he needed to chat on his phone everytime I was trying to hit the ball.

We have this one soccer mom here that is basically a stay at home mom through her cell phone. She must check on her kids ever 15 minutes either by text or phone call. Her kids are 16 and 14, it is so f--king annoying.

My cell phone probably rings 3 maybe 4 times a day if that. I don't give it out to customers as I cannot help them when I'm not at the office so only my close friends and family have my number.

I am a religious CCer and these types drive me insane. I can't even fathom driving on a highway without CC but apparently most people don't use it and it basically just causes me problems. Fast slow fast slow fast slow. Sweet Jesus pick a speed.

My cell sits in a drawer at my house. My wife told me I had 0 minutes used in June. I only use it when I am going o na long trip somewhere other wise it sits home. I work like .5 mile from home so you can either call me at my desk or at my house.

Of course in the other thread I am talking about getting a iPhone which would probably be a huge waste of money for me.

On a scary note my 15 month old boy's favorite toy is a cell phone, oh no.

How about the life of todays electronics? How fed up is it that my parents still have a TV they bought when I was in diapers and the thing works fine, but I cant seem to keep one working for more than 2 years....if that. Not just TVs either, the VCR/DVD player I bought 2 years ago is now making a grinding noise when trying to play dvds. After trying in vain to watch a dvd yesterday for about 1/2 hour, I gave up and watched an old VHS tape. Dont you know my VCR ate the damn thing. F- cheap ass electronics that dont last for shit. F'em.....f'em i say!

I look for a good bargain but I try to buy quality. I did have one tv that was a RCA and it was total crap but the rest were Sony, Sharp and I'm not sure the make of the DVD/VCR, I think its also a Sony.

Last month I used my phone a total of 124 min. which is high as my office phones went out one day and I had my office phones foward to my cell. I don't use it much but like the feeling of having it with me at all times.

I hate it when:

- People say "for a reason" without even so much as guessing or expanding on what the reason is.
Example:
"Well Durant is definitely playing. And don't underestimate the rest of the guys playing at the worlds. The NBA is the called the best league in the world for a reason."
- Fans refer to an overall draft pick as a round.
Example:
"Trent Williams was our fourth round pick."
- Fans refer to a player who has switched teams as traded when in reality they were simply a free agent.
Case in point:
"that trumps both Leinart and White because the Cardinals already traded for Anderson which means they are shopping around"
- People refer to their babies age in month's after they turn one year old. I mean in that case I'm 300 months old.

People who merge on the highway going way slower than people on the highway. I'm in North Carolina right now and the speed limit is 70 on the highway and I was stuck behind this dude who was going 45 like 2 miles past the on ramp. Which leads me to my next point:

People who drive slow because they are talking on their cell phone. Aforementioned dude was going 45 in a 70 because he was chatting it up on his cell phone and didn't notice he was going mad slow. It's not as bad down here in NC but up in the DMV it's a huge problem (DMV=DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia for you out of staters).
