Because it brings up 4th down. You don't want to give them the chance to have another shot on 3rd down.

But it would have pushed them to the brink of out of field goal range and it would have been 3rd and goal from Waaaaaay out.

Taking it would have been 3rd down from the 22. Declining it was 4th from the 10. Why accept it? To give them another shot at the endzone?

This is perhaps the most frustrating Redskins team I have ever watched.

Here's a fun fact about our offense: we have NO Tds >40 yards, either running or throwing, this season. I mean, even in the backyard--you throw it deep and complete [B]one[/B] for a long TD...
