We haven't looked inspired since October.

I am baffled right now by our blocking "schemes".

Jim Zorn is getting destroyed tactically. Right now I don't see us winning another game this year. Obviously, Philly and SanFran are coming on strong, but Cinci is probably a better team at this point. :(

Campbell is gettting smacked about pretty good no chance for a successful passing game

Can anyone tell me ONE part of out Special Teams that is even average?

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread

This is just sloppy, sloppy play. Sorry, but I'm laying this on Zorn's head. It's one thing to for one or two guys to be blowing assignments. But when you've got receivers dropping balls, linemen blowing protections, the quarterback and others getting flagged for dumb mistakes, and so on, week after week, it's not the players, it's the coach. Well coached teams don't look like this one.

I'm not saying I want a new coach. I'm not saying Zorn will be a bad coach next year. I'm saying that, right now, this looks like a poorly coached team.

What does Joe Bugel do again?

Campbell is not recognizing when the blitz is coming. He needs to two step drop and get the ball out.

This game could get ugly if we can't hold them here.

This will be Bugel's last year here as well. I love the guy, but we need some new blood.

Fumble. Of course the ball takes a Ravins bounce.

2nd and 18.

al michaels made the point that the defense is pretty much the same and the running game is pretty much the same and the only thing new that zorn has brought is the passing game which is the part really struggling implying zorn hasn't added anything to the team thus far

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread

Maybe we need to invest in an offensive coordinator and stop letting Zorn call the plays. Just a thought.

Ruhskins 12-07-2008 09:03 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread

I must say that luck is not in our side either...Redskins get a pass tipped and have a fumble, and the Ravens recover both (and score on one). The Ravens get a pass tipped and fumble the ball, and nothing happens.

Is it me or do the Ravens' coaches jacket look like they are inside out? LOL.

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread

This shit is a failure of immense proportions and it shows a lack of discipline and coaching. I will answer my own question from earlier. If this doesn't get any better the rest of the way Snyder probably is going to can Zorn. This team seems totally out of sync, no drive, etc.

itvnetop 12-07-2008 09:03 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread

Hold them here on 3rd... we don't need Flacco to convert this. Get the ball back with decent field position and we're good going into the second quarter.

Bugel has no new talent. His line is old and declining.

ST Danny Smith is doing worse.

Look, either you can coach or you can't. Zorn is a good coach. He's just going to take his lumps for now. But I do think the guy can coach.

I respectively disagree. No way Snyder fires Zorn after first season.

JC throws ball behind CP. Coludn't hold it.

We need a new offensive line period. Get rid of everyone (maybe...maybe keep Samuels) and get a new line of the guys we have (Heyers and Rinehart), a young free agent, and the draft.

you know what, that may be right. Really, the only thing he's done is gone for it on a few fourth downs. Yes, they ended up sealing some games, but it was only a gamble Gibbs never made.

Bugel needs to be nicely shown the door. Gibbs didn't get the job done the second time around and Bugel isn't getting it done now. Lightning doesn't strike twice.

I think he's a good coach. I just think maybe he needs to let go of his play-calling responsibilities. I mean he's already the QB coach as well. Let someone else call the plays so he can focus on coaching.
