I've been trying to do it also, but thanks for posting a thought process and reason behind the pick(s). Makes us know that some thought and effort was put into the choices and I like reading why the teams are picking that player.

I have note pages with lists of targets, positions of need and links to resources on each team I'm picking for.


I think I'm taking it too seriously! :D


(but then again, it [B]is[/B] going to take a lot of work to make the Bills into winners)

well i picked the ravens and chargers b/c i follow them pretty close. i even checked the chargers fan forum since i havent been out there in awhile.

yeah i had 5 guys targeted for the ravens, each with their own reasoning why they fit a need. man it was hard pulling the trigger on a TE in the first round. but with cb kyle wilson and NT dan williams gone, it made it a bit easier.

in the real draft i see the ravens taking dan williams. they will be ok at TE this year (i think they drafted a guy last year, late round thoo) but with justin bannan gone, kelly gregg getting old and injured, they really need a NT.

Absolutely. Heap is getting a lot of mileage on him. 10 years, 2 years he missed 10 games each...been used a lot. Of course, with Boldin/Mason/Stallworth on the roster, he'll be used less...probably, but they still need to plan for his replacement.

Justification for taking Pierre-Paul for the Eagles is as follows: All of the Eagles DEs are getting older (need), he is arguably the best DE in the draft, and was also atop my board (BPA).

even i've left it. time to move on.

i know this is a little late, but would anyone be interested in extending the draft to 4 rounds? for one, i'd be interested in seeing how complete a team the redskins can build. and on a purely selfish level, it would also give me some more manuverability with a trade proposal i'm considering right now. Considering its only been two days and we're already almost done with the 1st round, i dont think it would drag out the whole process more than another few days.

I also think it would be neat to see who (other than the redskins) appeared to have the best draft. it would be neat to vote on it as well. just a thought.

yeah this draft has been a bit screwy but i guess thats part of the process... my 3 top prospects for minnesota are all gone and its thrown me off a bit. hence the desire to trade down.

the indecision regarding what favre and williams will do is definitely making things a tad more difficult for me... which is why i plan on drafting Tebow, as he could play both QB and DT positions for the team.

Having a bad weekend.

My Earthlink modem has been down since 8:20 today. I just now got my connection after 2, 45 minute phonecalls with their tech support people. It's my weekend from work and I'm hating life.

With the 27th pick Dallas takes [B]TAYLOR MAYS, S, SOUTHERN CAL[/B] I was between him and Pouncey C/OG Florida... Pounce could help the interior line which is somewhat of getting old and could replace Kosier on the left side... But Safety is a bigger need for our team I have somewhat of a worry on Mays being more Roy Williams that Bob Sanders but let's hope he turns out t be more like bob.

The Reality if he's available Dallas would take him before a guard.
