re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
Vick is reported to have slaughtered over 50 to 100 dogs in gruesome and brutal ways...
We have Players who have killed people while drinking and driving... We have players who have used guns and/or waived guns and been incarcerated for years because of it. The list goes on and on including breaking into a donut shop to steal donuts... Moss to my knowledge has never committed a crime or been suspended or put on noticed because of problems off the field. His worse enemy is his mouth and his effort and ego. Working in the food industry as long as I have in my life,i find what he said and did to those caterers very appalling and disturbing... But to give Michael Vick a shot,Pac man Jones and many,MANY others a chance...and to forget about Randy Moss would in itself be a crime. Specially, when he's head and shoulders better than all those who have been in trouble with the League. I still hop we claim him! I just wanted to share my personal feelings on this matter. Because imo...If we don't get him,we more than likely and probably won't see the playoffs at the rate we are going this season. I think a Player of Moss's caliber could "POSSIBLY" give this team a shot in the arm of talent, that they so desperately need and have needed for many years at the Wideout position. I think Shanahan knows this...and I think him and son have had a long discussion about this as well...his aquisition can only help this team. cause we already have controversy, distractions and Media hate from all directions imo... |
re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
When should we know when he is available or who claimed? Sorry if this has already been answered.

re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
and 1 more thing i want to say and hope shanny is thinking about...
Lets say for a second...we don't want him here and don't need him here..? OK? What about the Giants and Eagles, who pick after us? Who is to say they don't put a waiver claim in for him? Have you see how affective our secondary is against 6"4" WR's in coverage has been lately? A.Johnson? Calvin Johnson? They alone have burnt our Defense and won their respective teams the game. Can you imagine having to cover Moss playing for either team? "Naw..ace..eagles won't claim him...they don't need him"! really? Like they didn't need Vick and his past? Giants are already good as well...how much better are they with Moss... Oh..and btw..those 2 teams happen to be in front of us in a very tight race, for the division title. You almost have to grab Moss,to block him from them 2 teams..imo Not to mention,we have little in the passing game to offer as it is. Ok..I've said what I needed to say. |

Mortensen said about 30 minutes after the 4 pm (EST) deadline. So 4:30 for EST or in my case for central time..3:30 pm today. The reason it's at this time is... lets say the rams put a claim on Moss and at 3.56: pm(EST)...Carolina calls and says.."yea..we want Moss..we'll do it!" Then carolina gets him. That's why we have to wait, for those confused about all this stuff... |

lol..funny Yes,I thought we would be awesome with new staff and company and I was wrong. If we don't get Moss,we MIGHT be able to grab a wild card..maybe That's assuming we can win at least 5 out of the last 8 game, including a little help with other teams losing. We play philly at home who are always tougher when they are on the road. They just seem to play better... We have a dallas team on the road The Giants and their pass rush twice... A pumped up Tampa team exceeding all expectations...and a conference rival going back at least 10 years.. A really good tennessee team who has so far..swept our division...and easily. A Vikings team in turmoil, yet very talented. And a Jacksonville team still in the hunt for a playoff spot in the AFC South. So even if we get randy Moss and he morphs into his 22 year old Marshall body...it's going to be a task to get 5 wins from this... Without him? And it could get very ugly.. Specially, with what has already started with McNabb and coaching staff... We may not get Moss, because another team a head of us claims him...And that's fine. That's just how it is. But the Redskins not putting in a waiver claim for this guy, would be a very stupid football decision in my book. But who the hell knows anymore what we'll do. I mean damn...J.Russell is trying out at QB for the redskins...lol Anything is possible at this point.. |
re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
We played in philly already
|
re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
We dont need more drama but if coach is going to waiste our draft picks to get McNabb and create unneeded controversy to an exhausted AH drama team who knows he may be up for another uphill challenge of taming Randy Moss. I'd cut galloway for moss if it was vet min. but why would anyone want to come to DC and have strict rules enforced if the insane money isnt included? This team needs major OL/DL renovating and a QB, able WR's we are a step ahead of an expansion team without the draft picks needed to fit the schemes.
Isn't it every year the team either has a major meltdown or loss before the bye week and us fans have to wait 2 weeks for possible redemption? In good news though, Portis was reported working out at practice in a limited fashion. If I were him I'd take his time b/c he will be scouting new locations after he gets released at season end. |

RT @OneRamsWay: Coach Spagnuolo after practice said no claim has been made on WR Randy Moss and team is still doing its homework. 37 seconds ago So, at what point is the homework due? Maybe they will think it is 4pm central time, and miss the deadline ;) |
re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
when does this waiver wire start and end?
|
re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
all claims are due by 4pm eastern today for Moss. I imagine the announcement will either be made or leaked shortly thereafter.
Apparently the Bills ARE claiming Merriman. |

Maybe they will think it is 4pm central time, and miss the deadline ;)
As much as they need a WR. I actually think it would be a bad move for them to claim him. Moss has already said,he will sit out the season,if he doesn't like the team that claims him. (so they would be on the hook for his salary Vincent Jackson style) Not to mention him having a rookie QB throwing him the ball. It's going to be interesting to see who claims him. Hell, for all we know..he may not make it past the Cowboys..lol You know Jerry likes his flashy toys and even at 1-6...maybe they feel they need another stud WR for all that passing they do for trying to salvage the season. It truly wouldn't surprise me at all... But in a way..that might not bother me either..We only have them 1 more time Dallas still has the Giants once and eagles twice. Not to mention dallas victories over Green Bay,Saints, our division rivals could help us in the long run possibly. Dallas is desperate,so them claiming him would not surprise me one bit. Give Kitna more weapons,as if they need them..lol and romo coming back But I've heard Moss hates them,so maybe he screws them and sits out..lol |
re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
Merriman could be a Bill soon:
As Fox reported, Bills are set to claim LB Shawne Merriman. Unless Buffalo changes its mind, Merriman will be a Bill. |

I wouldnt get him off the waiver wire with all that salary, but I would def bring in Maybin give him a serious look at an FA offer. Sh*t, if we are looking at garbage like Jamarcus, why not |

re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
Seahawks and Rams have both said they won't put a claim in for Moss (could be a smokescreen). Same with Jets. Titans have reportedly put in a claim.
So, to recap, the two teams that have supposedly put in claims. Redskins and Titans. It's all speculation at this point though |
re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
So hopefully that Rams and Seahawks are serious when they say no claim.

Even if he does...the team that gets him will likely get a compensory pick at the end of the year....so you get Moss for half a season and a draft pick....all you give up is cash. That is a situation the Skins could benefit from |
