Until then, go Skins!!
Will do...and yes, GO SKINS! |
Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread
I am hoping that if the giants are coming into this game confident on offense -- they are in for a rude awakening. I am hopeful that Cofields seeming confidence translates on the field on Sunday. Look for Fletcher to shutdown Jacobs, especially early on. That probably would be Cofields biggest contribution to the redskins -- allowing the linebackers to make plays against the run.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread
If Fletcher has a good game; Cofield is playing well.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread
When Tuck says he's not worried about cofield sharing what he knows with the rest of the redskins and "crazy" to think that they haven't change things up -- the more I believe that the giants ARE worried. Why would the giants change anything for one player?

like was said before, enjoy life, get out there! just be a little extra vigilant and aware!
Thank you for your service! |

They have Devon Thomas....:madani: to bad he never got to learn the playbook! :laughing2 |

Fletcher always plays well. If Fletch goes OFF, then you know Cofield is playing well. |

Not for one player.. just overall tweaks and adjustments between seasons based on success, personnel, etc |

I"m disappointed. :( SHould have been a win for the Pirates, but our offense (or strong point) shitted the bed two weeks in a row. I gotta give props to VT's defense for the pressure and sacks, but god damn that kid dropping those passes ....arrrrrgggghhhh. Probably a good thing VT had so many penalties to help us out though. ;) Our OC needs to adjust much better. Good game indeed though. |

I was keeping up with the game while I've been at work today, and I thought ECU was about to continue having our number. I hadn't forgotten our loss to them 2 years ago. I didn't get to see any of the game but it sounds like they played hard because it was close. |

The following analysis from Matt Bowen might do the redskins well. On attacking their defense: “If I was Mike Shanahan, I’d use a lot of three receiver sets. I’d force them to bring a nickelback on the field, see what kind of depth they’ve got and you can run the ball out of that, too. And I’d take a deep shot really early in the game, in the first three plays. I’d want to let them know we’re going to test the secondary all day.”
Cofield is the one player I'll be zeroing in on in tomorrow's game. I want to see how well he man's the position against a team that loves to run the ball inside, especially with a big powerful back like Jacobs. The Giants....unlike us, go into their season contests against the Redskins believing they're going to win....It's a quiet confidence they have because they've had so much success against us in the past. They don't hope or wish maybe they will win, regardless of the situation or circumstance they honestly believe (to a man) they will beat the Redskins whenever or wherever they play them. We know it's not a lack of respect because we've played so many close games with them. There was a time when we played with that same type of confidence. We didn't go into games thinking maybe....hoping....if'ing....we "might" win. We knew we were going to win, and I envision us now beginning to develop that kind of mind-set again. |
Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread
I am so fired up I can't effin wait ... I hope that crowd at Fed Ex really brings it tomorrow ....that place should be rockin' .... we are going to run the shit out of the ball and look for kerrigan to shine bright

I will be a happy man indeed when I do not preface a response to a Redskin question with "If ". |

Intangibles, certainly, but it's the best I've felt about this team in a long time. That said, I sure hope we win tomorrow. lol |

Agreed. And man, the night before the season starts is a wonderful thing. Hope springs eternal. |
I'll second that. For some reason I always get little to no sleep the night before the skins season kicks off, and tonight is no different. I got so pumped up while I was sitting in bed thinking about being at the game tomorrow (yeah I'm still going despite the terrorist rumors) that I got up and took a shower and made sure all my skins gear is laid out for tomorrow lolll. It's hard to sleep when I'm so f'n hyped! Shit I'm gettin hyped typing this post on my phone. Httr! And let's stomp those bitch ass giants tomorrow!

Ouch! My kid just gave me a huge lump on my head by throwing something heavy (still don't know what) from across the room while I was typing. Hope I can still make it to the game....and hope that's the only lump I have to take today.....

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread
For those of you going to the game, quick question. Shorts or prepare to get wet? It's nice and sunny right now and I feel like I'm being fooled into wearing shorts and a jersey, but the forecast is predicting steady rain after noon, but temps near the mid 70's. I don't know which way to go with this lol.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread
Hell yeah!! It's Sunday and already smack talking to the giants and cowboy fans here at waffle house!! Football is here!

Personally, I'm going with shorts and I have a rain jacket. My legs might get a little cold but I'd rather not be stuck wearing rain soaked jeans all afternoon. I have rain pants but they can be hot as hell on a day like this. Anyway, I can't wait to head to FedEx for yet another season opener; I've been to every one since 2003 and I don't even have season tickets. In fact, this is the 2nd year in a row that my buddy and I got hooked up with free tickets a few days before the game. And I agree on the 3rd paragraph, I've been to the season opener against the Bucs in '04, the Vikes in '06, then the opener against the Cowboys last year, and now I'm going again this year. Hopefully we break our losing trend against the Giants in season openers lol, I'm happy with our odds this year. |
Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread
I'm pumped. I took a two year break from being a rabid fan and I'm ready to ease back into it.
Obviously my boycott was the driving force behind Snyder hiring a real GM. :) |
