"I wasn't robbing a bank. I was just standing in the vault with a gun after telling everyone to get their hands up." What a pile of poop.
Seriously. Admittedly, it seems strange that he's trying to defend himself against such overwhelming odds, because most people in that situation would just admit guilt and hope to try to redeem themselves. It almost seems that by defending himself, he's acting not remorseful at all. And slightly arrogant as well, by saying he was just showering with boys but nothing bad happened. Which may not be the case, that's just the way it's coming off to me. I just don't see any way in which this could possibly be spinned as a conspiracy theory, or any other dumb shit like that. There's just too many people involved, too many victims, too many witnesses, too long of a period of time, for there to be any coincidence. This guy just screams full fledged predator.
And if not such a big deal why wait for the locker rooms to empty out so there's no one there but you and the boy?
Seriously. Like I said just way too much overwhelming evidence and witnesses for me to believe he's innocent at all. Am I falling into the trap of people who think along the lines of "guilty before proven innocent?" Yes, but this is one case where there's not much doubt. He's got no credibility. And I think he's taking all this the entirely wrong way. It sounds like he's trying to make us believe that he just likes to shower with young boys yet nothing sexual happened. And I feel like only a pedophile would try that defense. Minimizing the damage in a case like this doesn't work. I honestly can't believe he's using the,"Whoa I like to shower with young boys, doesn't mean I'm a perv though" defense. |

Maybe it is just the entire legal morass that has the participants giving bizarre answers(and will be heard later in court).....but WTF is " I did the right thing.....you guys know me"....
What is that? "What happened to Oh Hell No...I kicked his ass. That shit will not be allowed to stand as long as I'm around? NO Way No how...not to a kid!" The morphing quality of the individual stories is getting.......... |
Re: Sex Abuse Scandal Rocks Penn State
Nope. The legal system isn't crooked either. Guy is walking around with 40 counts of child molestation without having to pay 1 cent in bail.

They get charged with crimes that has sunk the university and the school is paying for their defense? Really? I imagine Penn State will at some point if they uncover him being a big part of the cover up. |

Attorney says fmr #psu coach #sandusky showered with a child because "he is a jock...you take showers after you work out." @ac360 8p, 10p
Sounds legit. :yeahright I was just finished working out with little Timmy and we were taking a shower and I slipped on the wet floor and my penis ended up in his rectum. Coulda happened to anybody ya know? Also, the more I read on Paterno, the more I'm certain he played a major part in sweeping this under the rug back in '98 as well as 2002. I believe the threatened McQueary with his job to keep silent about this as well. |

This guy has a idiot for a lawyer which if fitting I suppose. A part of the interview that was cut out, but can be found in the transcript.
But while Costas's interview was forceful and compelling, the full transcript of what Sandusky said wasn't aired until it appeared Tuesday morning on "Today." At one point, about seven minutes into the interview and after Costas asked Sandusky about the 40-count indictment he faces for sexually abusing boys over a 15-year period, and Sandusky replies that he is innocent of those charges, Costas asks Sandusky if he fits the classic MO of a pedophile. Sandusky's reply at the 19:01:01:00 mark of the interview is perhaps the most damning of the entire session: "Well -- you might think that," Sandusky said. "I don't know. (LAUGHS) In terms of -- my relationship with so many, many young people. I would -- I would guess that there are many young people who would come forward. Many more young people who would come forward and say that my methods and -- and what I had done for them made a very positive impact on their life. And I didn't go around seeking out every young person for sexual needs that I've helped. There are many that I didn't have -- I hardly had any contact with who I have helped in many, many ways."
|
I didn't see the interview but my friend described it in one word on his facebook status... Creepy.
I saw it on tv while I was at the gym, and I felt creeped out, like they considered it standard practice to interview pedophiles on tv. I watched this one Onion clip where they did an interview with a pedophile, and I thought it was pretty funny. But when I watched this interview with what I feel pretty confidently was an actual pedophile, I was just straight creeped out. @NC: I completely agree about the lawyer. If I were his lawyer, I'd be advising going underground Saddam style until the trial starts, and instead this f'n creepy pedophile is out there actually trying to act like it's normal for him to do interviews. And his answers felt so forced! Ugh. The less I see of Sandusky until this trial is over the better. |

yes, the more of this that comes to light the better. Horrible that in cases like these, it's the victims that feel the shame. |
Horrible that in cases like these, it's the victims that feel the shame.
Agreed. You see reports with quotes from these kids saying they didn't come forward because they were afraid, or embarrassed, felt stupid, etc. but honestly they have nothing to be afraid of. If anyone I knew came out and said they were sexually or emotionally abused as a kid. I feel like I'd give them the utmost support, especially when you consider a lot of pedophiles were abused themselves. It does the most damage when they keep it to themselves. |
