Part of the "the game within the game of football" is being well-compensated for personnel mistakes. If we had grabbed a QB project in 2010 or 2011, which many have lamented about in the past but I'm sure no longer do, much to my chagrin because they never introspect about how [I]bad[/I] those ADHD principles(or lack thereof) they hold are, THERE IS NO ROBERT GRIFFIN III ON THIS TEAM RIGHT NOW.

Don't get me wrong man, I'm not saying Mike can't turn this around, and I would like nothing more than to see that happen. I'm just saying up to now he hasn't shown the necessary strides that would warrant him living out his contract. I think this season will be very telling. And your Harbaugh example is a good one. Harbaugh did a great job of tailoring his system to his players strengths. The same could be said of his brother, very similar paradigm for both of those guys. There are still a few questions in my mind as to whether the acquisitions we made this offseason will ultimately be what's best for the team in the long run, but we did hit a brick wall the day before free agency, and for being handcuffed with stolen cap space I believe they've tried to find the most cost effective talent to improve in the areas where they feel it's required. Our secondary could still use a few upgrades, but all in all I think they've done better this offseason in attempting to fill need, than they have in the past. We'll see how it goes.

I bit the bullet and watched it. I don't think I've ever seen another QB drafted that is as charismatic as RGIII. This guy's personality and charm is through the roof, and he's smart and talented out the ass.

NC I agree. RG has a bright future ahead of him. I could see him being a broadcaster, analyst, or just in entertainment when his career is over. He could become the new face of the nfl if he is as good as advertised.

Leno has to got to be one of the worst interviewers out there. He acts disinterested and comes off totally disingenuous. His questions are so canned and he rarely follows up on an interesting point, he just moves on to the next question.

What is really amazing to me is the fact that every one of his answers is a story that he has obviously told hundreds of times by now (and I doubt that's even an exaggeration) yet he comes off as if it was the first time he has told it. I absolutely hope his on field play matches, but I think it is without question that the team will rally around him in the games. We finally(!) have a leader on offense, and that's a GREAT thing.

After watching the Leno interview I truly believe RGIII personifies everything you could want in a pro athlete from the off-field POV.

Things are set for greatness if the team can play up to his level on the field.

I'm really trying hard to to lose my mind with positivity that RGIII creates for the upcoming season.

Leno: "When are you going to get married?"

RGIII "Sometime next year, gotta on the playbook......"

I agree, I've never understood why Leno's even got a show. I prefer the style Graham Norton uses, much more disarming interviewer and very witty.

Two things from the article really catch my eye. The first is comparison to Vick's throwing motion and velocity (aside from lefty vs righty). Vick's arm motion and velocity always amazed me as he's smaller than most pro QB's but is a far stronger passer. Hopefully Griffin's accuracy is superior to Vick's right from the get-go, as accuracy is the most important quality in a pro QB (see Chad Pennington). But like the article mentions that strength and velocity is a huge bonus in our system w/ the roll-outs etc.
The second highlight for me is Griffin's injury, and more importantly how he responded to it i.e. becoming more of a pocket passer. The injury may have been the best thing to happen to Griffin. To be sure his mobility will be a major threat, but his decision to focus on the fundamentals of pure passing will be the difference maker for our guy.
