Re: Kudos to RG III
I think we should just be grateful for the type of player RG3 is. He is not Michael Vick, people make comparisons between Vick and RG3 now, but RG3 is a totally different talent, IMO.
We finally have a legit franchise QB, something we have not had since I don't know when. I don't really remember ever going into a season since Snyder owned the team where we were "set" at QB. I think RG3 is the best QB we have had easily in the "Snyder Era". Brad Johnson should have been kept for a while, Mark Brunell was a reliable stopgap solution, but Jason Campbell was never the answer and I think they held on with him for too long. HTTR is what i'm getting at. At least with RG3 we know we have a chance in the game. The defense isn't going to win us any games, so all we got going for us is that RG3 can make the kind of plays he did Sunday, to win the game. This is gonna be an exciting season. I believe that RG3 will finish in the top 5 for QB's this year. |

I'd like to see a new word take the place of Kudos.
Its just so Richard Simmons sounding.... |

Would any here trade Leonard Hankerson and a 4th round pick to the Titans for wide receiver Kendall Wright if they were Bruce Allen?

This was my favorite quote:
GRIFFIN: “It was interesting to see the different reactions. Larry Hess, our head trainer, was running down the sidelines. He said he was running the same 40 I was running. A lot of guys had some made-up thoughts in their heads. But it was cool.” |

Re: Kudos to RG III
thing that has impressed me the most is his accuracy and vision and quick decision making... think its possible that he is going to the run more often than maybe finding another reciever but that will come with time... he's just very, very impressive in his quick read and react throws at this stage in his short NFL career.

I agree with the quickness. Most of the time, I can't tell one player from another in terms of an actual game move. I mean I can see the results on the field, but a qb arm motion is a qb arm motion. But I watch Griffin, and the quickness of his release when he starts throwing, the ball just seems to be gone. Several times, including the Garcon 88yd TD, a blitzer was coming right at him, and somehow the ball is just out of his hands. Reminds me a bit of Marino in that, I remember he would step step step and the ball was just gone to his receiver. |
Re: Kudos to RG III
yea he can really get it out quick... and you can see it the garcon td is a good example and some of the over the middle throw RIGHT after the ball fake throws last week and vs atl as well are good examples

Re: Kudos to RG III
currently #1 in NFL completion pct (70.2), #2 in NFL avg/completion (8.3), #3 in NFL QB rating 100.5 (behind aaron rodgers and peyton manning)

Re: Kudos to RG III
Tied for 1st with fewest INTs.
|
Re: Kudos to RG III
I really don't care about his completion % or lack of Int's. His completion % should be high cause of the short throws. What I like most about this kid is he does things to a defense that do not show up in stats. He's opening holes for Morris on the option runs, he's keeping the defense honest on the stretch runs, the slants seem to open all day long cause the LB has to respect the play action, his ball faking is on point, he's only 6 starts into his career and he does all this to a defense. This is why no matter what our record is, Kyle and Mike have to stay...they're a little too consevative with him in the passing game but overall they've done a phenomenal job w/ RG3.

It's worth noting, with a rookie QB and a bunch of FA receivers. |
