Sanchez confidence is in the dirt. I still think he's young enough that if he gets a good coach like Shanahan or Harbaugh that he might be able to turn things around. Alex Smith did.

CRedskinsRule 12-17-2012 11:55 PM

Sanchez has 50 turnovers in 2 years. that's ridiculous.

BTW the three man table is the best. The only NFL table I watch every week is the post MNF table.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 15 Style

My god, how is a QB this bad? Sanchez looks exactly the same as he did his rookie year. Your supposed to improve from your rookie year, not stay the same or get worse. Just Wow.

As for MVP Manning should get it, because lets define it Most Valuable Player- Who is the most valuable player in the league to his team. Tom, Adrian, Peyton all valuable to their team. Next argument. What is the most important position in football? QB. Goodbye AP.

So between Tom and Peyton. Tom having a year similar to last year; Peyton didn't play last year. Tom's team 10-4. Peytons 11-3. Better record. Broncos last year without Peyton, 8-8. Patriots last year at this time 11-3. Got a game worse actually (surprising; Harder schedule? Nope same as last year [32nd])

Its not much, but Peyton deserves MVP over Tom and AP. AP can break that record, but his team sucks (in the playoffs now; won't be after this week or in 2 weeks) Eric Dickerson didn't win MVP that year he set the record, because he lost to Marino in the MVP race. Hence, its always the QB who's going to win it. Yes that was the year Marino passed for over 5,000 and while Manning won't do that this year, he's having one of his best seasons ever with a 104 QB rating and is having an identical season to his MVP seasons. Keep in mind he didn't play a snap last year and is playing with a less strong arm and almost new neck thats been repaired more in a year than most players have surgeries in 4 years.

50 in two years? That's Rex-Like in its epically awfulness.

That 4th interception was just horrific, how do you even attempt that throw.

Its so much more fun laughing at OTHER teams quarterbacks. I could get used to this shit.

Or end up like Tim Couch and Joey Harrington.

As awful as Tebow is you might be right. Sanchez is god awful. They'd be better off just running option plays then putting Sanchez back out there.

I think he just flat out sucks regardless of the coach.

The Jets offense is harder to watch then the Skins 2009 offense.

I think Sanchez can be a respectable starter in this league. There's no question the Jets traded too much for him though

Part of it is on him, he's gotten a bit lazy outside of game days (from what I've been told) compared to how hard he worked the first couple of years. But he puts up with a lot of unnecessary drama there as has kept his mouth shut.

The whole organization needs some structure. It's Cerrato-esque up there

Is Sanchez on the Jets next year? Id be very surprised.

He has to be on the Jets next year. Who's going to eat that ridiculous contract they just signed him to?

Also who else will be moving about:

Michael Vick
Matt Flynn
Alex Smith
Matt Cassel?
Kevin Kolb

Will be an interesting offseason at quarterback for sure.

The Broncos went to the playoffs last year with Tim Tebow as their starting QB, so I fail to see how, as great as he's been, Peyton Manning is MVP over Adrian Peterson. No way Jose.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 15 Style

the only off season QB worth getting would be alex smith, and he's still more of a manager than anything else.

sanchez is garbage. he's had more tan enough time to prove otherwise. he'll be ending his career as a backup.

Public perception and recent atrocious games. Didnt Sanchez play in back to back AFC Championship games?? I may be wrong on that.
How has Sanchez already proven he sucks yet Smith is worth going after?
yes, Smith is just the better QB these days. Sanchez fallen off, Smith has stepped up. Smith has had 2 very decent seasons back to back. Sanchez 2 very poor back to back. I think Sanchez could be better, but not as good as Smith.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 15 Style

Isn't it amazing how the NFL was slobbering all over the Jets with Hard Knocks around the same time Tebow was the hottest thing in Denver? No they both suck.

What was Rex thinking when he pulled Sanchez in favor of Tebow after those two near perfect throws? I turned the game off after that.

Talk about a pile of junk. Maybe Flynn is worth a shot??? Cassel is a hell no. It's interesting that we're all hot in conversation about turning around a QB who's looked good in limited action for a mint and three of the guys on that list had that happen to them...and they're terrible. If I were an NFL GM I would be pretty damn wary of trading for a Cousins.

That Guy 12-18-2012 11:19 AM

Re: Around the NFL...Week 15 Style

are you seriously defending sanchez? come on.

alex smith is a 70% and 2:1 TD/int ratio passer this year (4:3 and 60% career). sanchez is a 55% passer with more ints than TDs and 7 lost fumbles on top of that (almost 1:2). he's terrible.

alex smith can start if you don't have a QB. he's marginal. snachez can't. more TOs than TDs and < 60% completions = a crappy QB. we're 4 years in, unless he's rich gannon II (which i doubt) he's probably done as a starter. his stats are actually REALLY close to rex grossman's. that's "not a good thing" (C).

Im hearing sooo much about the Cowboys recently and their winning 5 of 6 and how great they are. More than im hearing about the Redskins. Maybe im tuning in at the wrong times, but isnt that one loss against us - in Dallas? Arent we on a five game winning streak too. Arent we in the drivers seat technically - if the playoffs were tomorrow we would be in? I guess i hope it keeps up and i hope were underdogs in week 17 but jeez louise.
