CRAZY STAT: Morgan leads the skins with 48 catches. Christ I feel like the guy is never thrown too. Weird.

Morgan is definitely a fly under the radar kind of player. Less of a catch and runner like Garcon. I bet he gets a lot of those shorter yardage catches and sideline plays. I feel like when we're throwing over the middle of the field its more likely to be towards Garcon, Moss or Robinson. Well not so much Robinson lately, but... Ya know. |
Take it for what it's worth, the inside word says Morris is very well liked in the organization.
Hey, I don't dislike Morris. He may even do better as a coach in Washington than in Tampa Bay if he ever got the opportunity. Bellichick wasn't great in Cleveland. But he was a master in New England. Maybe Morris can do the same. |
Re: Are you buying into the Shanaplan?
I think the only thing that held the plan back was the right QB. I also think this was the first draft that had the QB we needed.
|
Re: Are you buying into the Shanaplan?
I am all in for the most part. I wish we would draft a bona fide DT out of college for depth in the later rounds of the draft. If we had Orakpo this game coming up would be in the bag, and we probably could have had at least one more W going into next Sunday. This draft is going to be very interesting in how the FO goes with it. DBs, LBs, DTs, on O linemen would all be good!!!!

Yeah. I agree. Shuler was a waste. Ramsey was a waste. And Jason Campbell was decent but couldn't flourish because of having to learn so many offensive playbooks....RG3 isn't anything like those other QBs we've drafted in the 1st round in recent memory.... |
Still not ready to say yes lol
I want Shanny to keep rubbing it in my face Lets keep this train rolling! |

Re: Are you buying into the Shanaplan?
Can't argue that the Shanaplan hasn't produced any results by year three, that's out the window now.
I'm still very much week to week on this team, which is to say, I really haven't had much to worry about in the last two months. |
Re: Are you buying into the Shanaplan?
Simple and to the point.
Yep. |
Why would this still be a question? Division title in 3 yrs.
|
Re: Are you buying into the Shanaplan?
Is it too much to say you're on board?
Oh, I've been on board, it's just too much to assume I'll always be on board.
10-6 is a great place for this team to be right now, but if people were to start talking multi-year extension, I'd be hesitant. Shanahan owns this town right now --which he has earned-- but I think we'd all be wise to keep in mind how low the bar was. If he can earn the key to the city in seven games, we should be curious as to what can happen in the next seven. Hell, we could be super bowl champions. Or 1-5. Who knows? |

No!! Why would we just come out and say that, straight up? |

Re: Are you buying into the Shanaplan?
If there isn't anyone on board with the Shanaplan by now, screw 'em. There's no better time to be on board. I feel like we have that magic that successful organizations have, that mentality that says even if multiple things go wrong, we will always have a chance to prevail.
The talent level could still use help at a few key spots, but even Super Bowl winning organizations don't always have solid talent across the board. Look at the Giants last year. Who in their right mind predicted them to go on a tear in the playoffs after barely making it past the regular season? It's safe to say I'm definitely feeling it right now. |

Let's talk results, right here, right now. Where you at?
Enjoying results, like everyone else is. You can probably understand the frustration that comes with the territory when people who won't admit you're right in a 2.5 year sample want you to admit you're wrong following seven games, but rational reaction is pretty much all I ever offer, in the good times or the bad. It's kind of my thing. What's not frustrating right now is the Redskins, who just made the NFC East their bitch this year. That's enjoyable enough no matter what the future holds. |

Re: Are you buying into the Shanaplan?
I never criticized Mike Shanahan. I knew that he knew what he was doing with this Redskins team. He said from the beginning that the Redskins were a rebuilding project. His 3rd year in, he got the QB he wanted and needed. Through three drafts and three free agency periods, he signed the right players that this team needed on both sides of the ball. When people were calling for him to be fired I was wondering why. The Redskins losses this year except for two were all close losses.
But regardless of where the Redskins end up after clinching the division, you have to give credit and props to Shanahan. |

I have a more complicated view on the Shanaplan than a lot of others, and I don't begrudge anyone for being excited right now. In fact, I don't begrudge anyone for anything. I honestly have no clue where this animosity is coming from, especially on a night like this. |

Re: Are you buying into the Shanaplan?
I'm in shock as to what this team was immediately after the Panthers game to what they are now. I'm still leaning towards Mike Shanahan really thought they're season was over at that press conference ''the evaluation conference'' as we'll call it.
It'll be fun to see how this team plays in the playoffs and into next year. |
