And not OK with Davis future?
2 TE set, New England Style. Meet the new Hernandez/Gronk combo. Bringing havoc to a city near you coming 2013.

skinsfaninok 04-26-2013 09:55 PM

I watched Florida quite a bit, that dude was always all over the Playbook. I'm probably going to love the pick in a couple years but I still wish we could have had a safety.

Not expecting us to trade up for another pick tonight. Goodnight everybody, thanks for a great thread to read while watching the draft.

"Poor man's Aaron Hernandez". I'm cool with that!

More weapons = a good thing. I'd like to add a WR and RB too.

Our front office must think that Logan Paulsen is a bit less than average.
Also wonder if D Hall moves to safety.

Josh Boyce and Andre Ellington and I am a happy camper.

I just hope and pray that

Ellington
Rambo
Duke Williams
Phillip Thomas
Jordan Poyer
BW Webb
Shamarko Thomas
Okafor

Fall to us tomorrow in round 4

We need guys with good hands, he fits that. Niles Paul probably in trouble.

Yeah I'm hoping for Poyer or Rambo tomorrow.

Re: Draft talk rounds 2-3

Shanny is so good at keeping his draft choices a secret, not even the draftees know they are going to the Skins.

"I haven't had any contact with them at all. I had no idea I was going to be picked by Washington. Big surprise."

At least one of them will. Why is there so much hate for Phillip Thomas all of a sudden.

I think Niles Paul is more at risk. Paulsen showed his worth last season.

IMO Amerson will wind up at free safety. :twocents: Therefore we've already drafted one safety.

Kudos to Shanny for recognizing Paul likely doesn't have a future in the NFL, as an offensive starter anyway.

This. Lots to like about Paulsen, he's legit.

That's interesting. Maybe he'll compete against Jammer there. Lord knows we need options galore at FS.

Arians just announced Honey Badger will begin at FS.

About all he has is a tackler on ST. Not sure that will cut it for us. Like the pick thought we needed a TE but didn't think we would take one early.

When you have a guy coming off an Achilles and a backup who can't catch it was obvious.

Rams got a nice pickup in Bailey. WVU receiver core in STL. Nice job those guys can make plays.
Arians just announced Honey Badger will begin at FS.
wow. interesting. They may actually use him well, and give him a long career there (or a short one)

As for Amerson, Amerson said on the conference call that Shanahan said he's playing CB. So as much as we'd like to say that we'd see him best at FS, he's going to start off at CB.

Gotta like a guy who immediately acknowledges/addresses his weakness IMO. That or he's very tactful.

I see trick plays coming to Washington.

New Redskins TE Jordan Reed started at QB in the 2011 Outback Bowl for Florida against Penn State.

Hmm..perhaps having an ex QB...may mean we wont have to carry 3 qbs! at least long term

Holy shit. We went TE in the 3rd? I guess that's Fred's clue about his future here in Washington.

Well, SKINSnCANES, we didn't get barkley, but maybe we can get rid of Grossman like you were hoping for earlier....

Very possible that the #Redskins will carry 4 TE's on the roster. Did a few years ago Cooley-Davis-Sellers-Paulsen. One would also b/u at FB

Re: Draft talk rounds 2-3

Banged up receivers along with Davis still recovering, one of them will probably miss time again. So another hibrid te/receiver is a need. I'd like to see us grab more DL.

Jordan Reed has NFL.com - Official Site of the National Football League 's 3rd highest TE grade in this years draft, higher than TEs taken before him.

He was their Red zone toy, I expect him to take snaps at QB running draws instead of RG3 on short yardage plays

I also see Arizona took the huge gamble on the Honey Badger. I'm giving it less than 2 years before we see him blow it in some manner.

Eh IDK we'll see, they all said Randy Moss was a huge Problem guy as well and he was a star for years.

Reed looks like a promising addition. My only concern with him is in his highlight film, he jumps for EVERY catch.. Even the east ones.

C'mon, give some love to the guy. I'm giving it 15 years before he's in the HOF.
