I LOVE THIS PICK!!!!

Finally the shanahan's listened to the fans late in the draft.

Rambo is going to be a great 6th round pick.

Only one word is needed to describe this Redskins draft: PLAYMAKERS!

Getting ready to leave the house, but if I get home and find out we grabbed an OT, an ILB, or Da'Rick in the 7th, I will be happy.
OK, then. To ease your troubled mind, I'll authorize Mike Shanahan to pick another DB in the 6th or 7th Round. BTW, do you happen to have his cell phone number?
Thanks for making that call. Clearly you sparked the pick!

Was that undersized, oft-injured RB the Skins picked considered a reach?

Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7

The Redskins drafted Baccari Rambo in the 6th round. Excellent choice. Our secondary is going to be solid!

With that last post I became an Impact Rookie.....hopefully that foreshadows this draft1 lol

Gtothearry 04-27-2013 05:03 PM

We are going to have one cocky ass secondary: Amerson, Thomas, Rambo, Meriweather, D-Hall.

I will probably catch some flak for this post but I hope Doughty makes the team. He always seems to be there for us when everyone else goes down. I guarantee he has more starts than any other backup in the league!
Got Rambo
I can't believe it. Thats a steal. Perfect place to get him. He's a risk with the multiple failed drug test but a hell of a playmaker and it kind of balances out Phillip Thomas's durability problems. Great stuff. We already had pass rushers up front and now we have guys in the secondary that can capitalize on turnover opportunities, giving our explosive offense more chances to put points on the board. Great draft.

GusFrerotte 04-27-2013 05:14 PM

Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7

Hopefully Rambo will settle down with the off the field stuff. He is no damn good to us if he is oft suspended for drug issues, as well as other things. That being said it is indeed a steal. This better give us a solid defensive backfield for the next several seasons.

I am loving every decision being made in this draft.

It's so great to be able to look forward to a draft and be genuinely excited about it. I used to dread draft days in the previous regime.
Cant say im thrilled about 2 guys with major injury concerns in the 5th. You think with Helu being as injury prone as he, we wouldnt take another RB with an even worse injury history. not bright
I was surprised we took an RB at all! I would value another tackle before another RB. The FO is taking some risks with this.

This is the opposite of the last few years. No trading back, and I know who some of these players after the 1st round are.

I love it, just wish we had a guy back there that can drop the hammer with the same attitude. A lot of upside with these guys, im pumped.

Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7

By the way, HOW THE HECK did Florida State not win a National Championship. They have 5 players drafted in the first 2 rounds, including a QB, and now they have 9 players taken in the draft. Thats more then freaking Alabama who has put together a program comparable to Miami in the early 2000's.

Lots and lots of potential for turnovers. Shanahan wasn't kidding when he said he wanted that to be the focus on Defense. I mean they now have 4 ball hawks on the roster in Hall, Rambo, Thomas, and Amerson. Of course I also find myself feeling a tad uneasy given our tendency to give up big plays last year but hey gambling can be fun right?

Maybe Reid Fragel or Marcus Davis

The way they loaded up on tackles in FA let us know it was going to be a competition rather than drafting for that position.

Da'Rick Rogers if he is there. There is no risk right now.
Funny how last year everyone blasted the Skins for taking Cousins. Now it's considered a smart move to grab a good backup QB.
They didn't blast them for that it was for drafting a rookie starter and a rookie back up in the same draft. Giants have Carr as Eli's back up but I like this move , a lot.

Not the point, the Redskins were blasted even though everyone knew Cousins was gonna be a backup. (Outside of idiot Bayless) But whatever.

CRedskinsRule 04-27-2013 06:01 PM

I think the other nfc east qb passer ratings are going to take quite a hit from this draft. Vick, Romo, and Eli all will throw interceptions, all these defensive draft picks know how to take advantage of that.

What's Carr gonna do if he has to step in and play? Stink up the joint?

Would think the Rambo and Thomas selections would close the door on Armstrong. Personally I wanted poyer early, any reason why he's fallen like this?

I'd take a #1 pick as a backup
