F Tebow, so tired of this guy already and the way the media swings on his nuts.

As long as he delivers reaction (positive or negative) all media will talk about him. |

Your team is about due some 'wandering in the wilderness'. I'd prefer it to be the Cowboys but they have the Romo albatross, which is nice enough. |
Re: NFL News Offseason Style
So how did he lift the play of the Denver defense that held their own when he kept going 3 and out? Did they decide to play better cause they knew they were going to be on the field more? If that's the case then we should just say the hell w/ RG3 and run out Pat White. I don't understand that comment, nor do I understand the media love affair with someone who completes 45% of his passes.
I don't know how he did it, maybe it was a "holy s***" that guy is so bad we better play our butts off. But the defense certainly picked up after Orton was benched. |
F Tebow, so tired of this guy already and the way the media swings on his nuts.
Yeah SC just had a top.10 dedicated to him. |
Re: NFL News Offseason Style
Hopefully they will continue with the Tebow coverage. As much as I believe that RG3 handles all the media coverage about him well, I still prefer there be less coverage of him. All that scrutiny of every single word that is said gets annoying, especially when the media rarely allows the meaning to be taken in context. The story is no longer about what is said, but about what it can be turned into.
To much coverage turns it into a love him or hate him type of thing. Need proof? See Tim Tebow... |

Difference is RG3 can play. |

The mothership loves that drama and polarizing figures. people have a strong opinion bout that. Sometime I think they too far trying to create negative image on atheletes so people will hatte.

Irrelevant when it comes to media coverage. The entire love/hate dichotomy is already evident with RG3. Im not trumpeting Tebow as anything special. Just saying that non stop coverage of RG3 isnt always a good thing. Let the media clamour over Tebow for a while. |

Not sure about that. A big part of the Tebow hate stems from all the coverage being dedicated to a crappy player. |

A big part of the Tebow hate stems from all the coverage being dedicated to a crappy player.
Read the comment section of articles about RG3. People are commenting from every corner of the globe it seems. And its clear that most either love him or hate him. With a lot of the comments hating on him saying they are sick of the coverage. Just look at the whole wedding gifts episode. There is absolutely no reason why that received the coverage that it did, and it was very polarizing. Let the media have a new darling to run non stop coverage on. Im all for it. |

It is the fact that he sucks ass and is still brought up during the NBA Finals coverage. They didn't talk about Peyton this much when he was switching teams. |
Re: NFL News Offseason Style
Its like the Pats need another reason to hate them. If Tebow goes to Dallas next he's hit the trifecta on most hated teams in the league. F*ck the Pats, Meathead Gronk, Darth Douchy Cheat, Pretty Boy Cry Baby Brady, and now maybe the worst passer in the history of QB.

NFL Network is just as bad if not worse than ESPN. Half of Total Access is on Tebow. Pathetic.

Lately it seems like NEs FA acquisitions have not panned out. Only Carter did that I remember.

Yeah, at least Favre could/did/still can play better than Tebow ever can and ever will be able to play. |
Re: NFL News Offseason Style
Idk, for me it's better to be Tebow coverage than Haynesworth pouting, McNabb benching, or any other myriad of coverage we used to get before RG3. There will always be a hot story in the NFL, right now it just happens to be Tebow. Of course I'm not nearly as upset by this because I'm not really paying too much attention to NFL coverage right now since it's the slow time of year.

Re: NFL News Offseason Style
So about three months ago? I "predicted", more like suggested, New England would be the best fit for Tebow. I'd be shocked if Belichick didn't use Tebow as an H-back or in similar goal line and short yardage situations ala Mike Vrabel. The guy is a better football player than quarterback. No question about that.
And yes, the Tebow coverage remains over the top for reasons I will never completely understand. |
We're talking about him. He's become a story. Real more than just football m

She didn't think he was taking things serious and was treating the Court with disrespect AND it was not an isolated incident. You want to piss off a judge, turn his/her courtroom into a comedy club. While I was surprised she acted so harshly (rejecting the plea agreement), it was certainly not outside the realm of judicial responses I have seen. Most judges take court room decorum VERY seriously. Serious sh** happens there and they expect everyone to behave accordingly. As NC said, the 30 days wasn't for contempt. It was b/c she refused his plea deal.
No it was for the contempt. No azz slapping in court is a no no to female judges when there for domestic abuse. By the way James Thrash and Albert Connell were pretty darn good in the playing days and darn skippy I would take them right now if they were . Thrash burned us when he was with the Eagles more than once and caught many a first down with the Hogs. Albert was pretty darn good too. You should be spewing the hate on the QB instead of them unless you think we had a franchise QB back then. Now Taylor Jacobs and David Patten are a different story. Hogs! HOGS!! |
Re: NFL News Offseason Style
I didnt know if it was for contempt or the violation. Regardless, the judge's hands werent tied to 30 days, which, imo was excessive for what amounted to disrepectful show of exurberance.

We're seriously talking about Thrash and Connell?
Thrash was solid, nothing spectacular. His best year was about 800 yards, yawn. Connell had one good year and was out of the league 2 years later. |

All i said was that they were pretty good. Which they were. All the jazz came from elsewhere. His best year was with the Eagles with a different QB by the way. Jason Campbell yawn was the QB when he was here. Hard to judge our WRs then. I was just saying they were pretty good WR and stand by it. |

Pretty good? You must have some low standards my friend. Thrash was never more than a decent #3 option. Connell was a good #2 for one year, hardly enough of a resume to determine if he was actually "pretty good" as you put it, or if he simply benefited from playing in a high powered offense with plenty of other weapons occupying defenses. |
