Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
So far my trade for Phillip Rivers is paying off. Half my team is on a bye, and yet I'm leading by 80. My whole lineup played at 1, and unless the Bears defense and Brandon Marshall can score 80 points tomorrow I'll probably win. Got a solid 20 out of Rivers (after Brady dropping 5, 5, and 7 in the last month I'm excited to just say that lol) big day out of AD with 24, 10 from Mike Tolbert, 8 from Harry Douglas, 20 from Keenan Allen, 5 from Jordan Reed, 10 from Woodhead, 16 from Nick Folk, and 6 from the Titans d. It's nice to get that win when you've got a bulk of your team out of the lineup.

Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Quick question though, if you were trying to turn Tom Brady into a decent 2nd rb, who would you pick? I know I can't get an elite back for Brady, I just need something consistent to replace Fred Jackson who averaged 10 points every week.

Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Maybe Danny Woodhead? He's been solid week-to-week for me and every now and then he goes off.
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Side note, so I guess the Eagles are going to get 2 1st round picks for Foles like they always do with their garbage backup QBs?

Orrr, Chip Kelly commits to Foles as his qb of the future, after Foles settles in he becomes another average qb, eventually Kelly/Foles start looking like the 09 Redskins and both end up getting tossed, as well as costing the Eagles multiple seasons that they might've contended. |

If I leave it as-is that's probably my best option. I'm thinking maybe I could pull off a trade for Zac Stacy, I'm just not sure if he's worth trying to trade Brady for. |

My wife keeps picking up and dropping Rams RBs. I think it's a total VERY high risk for semi-high reward imo. Next week it might be Pead. :P |

Sure hope it works out that way. Eagles ALWAYS seem to find some way to get some average player to turn into multiple high picks OR pick up someone awesome for next-to-nothing (Ryans!). |

Yeah that kinda sucks, but I won't be scared of the Eagles until they start playing consistently good football week to week. Until then they are just like us. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
I know you're a VT fan too, but this is whats killing me about being a fan of both teams: PUT AN ENTIRE FOOTBALL GAME TOGETHER. When you do that, you'll win consistently. I think Denver would have beaten us regardless of play-calling, but the rest of the games, I'd say you could look at a handful of plays and say, "That's where it was lost."
Sure, football is that type of game, but just MEDIOCRE play in all facets of the game would have equaled at least 2 more wins. |

VT is never gonna go anywhere with Logan Thomas, but he's the starter and they don't have any better alternatives. Same with the Redskins. This team is a direct result of what we had to work with given our cap situation, and it reflects. Realistically we could be looking major moves this offseason. Still no first round pick, but we will be getting cap room back, and we've got holes in the secondary and o-line that need to be improved. My whole thing is we've got guys starting that might not have a job anywhere else. On o-line only TW's job is secure. All 4 secondary spots are open for debate too. Long story short, consistency starts with the players, and our players are still not that good. |

Being a Tech and Skins fan, consistency has been a problem. Plays left on the field haunt both.Turnovers have killed the Hookies the last 2 games. Guy I work with broke a remote last weekend when Logan threw the int in the endzone |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Two guys that I needed to blow up last night, Andre Johnson and Luck, came through. Love it when a plan comes together.

Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
I lost because Griff didn't score lol but I'll take a FF L for a skins W any day

Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
I had Dallas in my suicide pool and they made me sweat it out to the last minute. Mother effers.
All I could think was it figures that Dallas is going to be the team to screw me over. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Won in all 4 of my leagues. Thanks to Andre Johnson, Desean Jackson and Zac Stacy. Even taking a 0 with Arian Foster.
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Had Justin Blackmon on 3 of my 4 teams.
Thanks a lot, moron. |

Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Lost Rodgers on my 2-starting QB team. Had Aaron and RGIII. Keeper league, traded for BOTH in the last few years and kept both.
Now I have RGIII and Case Keenum. Best I could find. It was him or Locker available. Keenum has better players around him plus he's facing Jacksonville this week. |

Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Matt Ryan or Foles this week folks? Ryan facing Seattle, Foles at Green Bay?
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Tough one. I am going to bench Ryan for the first time on a non-bye week...my backup is Roethlisberger.
Seattle is a tough matchup. But, I don't think Foles can be trusted. I'd roll the dice on Foles and hope for the best. Ryan has been BAD without his weapons, although Steven Jackson is back. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
I'm 7-2 and sitting in first place in my FFL. Drew Brees has been a beast and is carrying my whole team. I hope Dalton can shake his funk from last Thursday night. And I look forward to more big games from Garcon :)

Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Just picked up Julius Thomas off waivers. I am 6/12 and have some solid guys but my star QB has gone to the birds the last two weeks in Matt Ryan leaving me searching for replacements... Believe it or not I am actually contemplating Jason Campbell after CLE bye. He has put 24 and 26 points on the board both weeks he played

12 team and when he got hurt someone dropped him. He was actually on the wire all last week. I dropped J Reed for him. Still have Gates and Cameron as well.

Yeah AD and Reed got me off to a solid start this week. Still disappointed about the game though, I'd rather AD get shut down and the Skins win over what happened. |

No not really, this league is very frustrating honestly. There are 4 teams or so that drafted and have not really done much of anything skewing the results of everyone. I played a couple of them early and split with them, but now anyone who plays them basically gets a free win. |

Honestly I thought they shut him down pretty well other than the 18 yard run in the first half for the TD he didn't do a ton. |

Compared to other games he's had stat wise it doesn't look that great, but I think he was impactful when he needed to be, i.e. 4th q when they were trying to run clock. |

Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
23 point lead for me right now but my opponent has Mike James and apparently TB's starting tight end going tomorrow. Hopefully the Miami d shuts down TB's run game.
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
20 point lead and my opponent has V Jackson tonight. What are my chances?
I could be 6-4 after tonight and back in it. The lead is two guys at 8-2. I scored more than anyone this week thanks to the volleyball hail mary catch by A.J. Green! |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Griffin carried my team this week, FU Dez Bryant
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
I never draft Cowboys for my fantasy teams. I don't want to be cheering for them.
