I think he looks way slower then when he was a rookie.

JJ is definitely a one guy and go guy, has some burst.

So does Helu. lol
he looks way better than when he was drafted.
Its largely in part because Helu was The Back his rookie year because we lost Hightower (Oh remember him?) early that season so Helu carried it a lot, then he got hurt and it carried over into the next training camp when we got Alfred who was an unknown then.

Know that we know Alfred is The back, Helu will be getting more like 5 ish touches a game as opposed to 20 like he was before. Therefore less chance of injury and better healthier Helu.

I was saying that at the draft time. Seeing what I've seen now, I want the Honey Badger even more, but there was no way we could get him AND Amerson and Reed whom I really like now and see a lot of potential in.

How has HB looked in the preseason?

Tough night for our receivers. The Steelers have no online depth and are super thin at the starting spots. I could see 8-8 being about the best they can do with that group.

How bad is the Hank and Robison injuries?

I saw its a knee for Hank which always is scary and Robinson I imagine is a bruise.

Re: Steelers @ Redskins (Pre season game 2)

Well I guess to recap/throw out my thoughts for tonights game:

- How the hell does Hankerson catch that ball yet can't make simple catches that you or I could make?

- Too many injuries, I hate preseason

- Ryan Kerrigan gets a pick six every year, hopefully he does it again this season

- Brandon Jenkins is quick, but he like Kerrigan and Orakpo, looks very one dimensional when he rushes the passer

- Skye Dawson can juke very well and looks ok-good as a PR, but I'd like to see him as a WR

- Chase Minnifield got his welcome to the NFL moment

- Jordan Reed and Bacarri Rambo looked similar tonight; one play bad, next play great.

- What happened to Josh Wilson? I think I know the reason, and I think that he's perfectly healthy.

- EJ Biggers, when we signed him I didn't think much of him since we picked on him when we played TB, but I figured he just had a bad game. Then I read somewhere that he ranks as a top 5 Nickleback, so I got optimistic. Now I think that he's a cut candidate.

- LeRibeus looks like trash, man he's gone down hill and fast since last year.

- See why we shouldn't bother playing RG3 after seeing Cousins, Cofield, Hall, Hankerson, and Robinson get hurt that easily tonight?

He's looked like the Honey badger we saw at LSU who has those great uncoachable football instincts. And I have them at 5-11 for that and a few other reasons.

You also can't coach his off the field instincts

If you're talking about the Honey Badger, he has been really good. 24 yard punt return, 12 yard sack, huge hit on a Packer receiver that broke up a sure completion, multiple special teams tackles...It looks like the Cardinals' gamble payed off.

The guy is a football player. I would've taken him over any of the secondary guys we drafted.

@Redskins: #Redskins Barry Cofield on injury "Not sure how it happened, but I'm not too worried about it. I should be back & ready soon enough" #HTTR

@JeffDarlington: In other news, Kirk Cousins (wearing boot on mildly sprained foot) tells me x-rays negative; doesn't anticipate missing much (if any) time.

@granthpaulsen: Hankerson (knee) and Robinson (thigh) both say their injuries are minor. #Redskins

I know they say the 3rd game is when starters play the most but what idiot schedules 2 games in 6 days? The preseason sucks.
LeRibeus was nearly useless tonight.
Why is KWilliams getting carries ahead of the rookies?
Why is Helu in the game in final minutes?
Why does polumbus suck so hard and Compton not in RT competition?
Kirk, Hank, Coffield are guys we need week 1. Please give me some good news this week.

Thats all a relief as long as none are downplaying their injuries.

What is it about the Steelers and suddenly having a ton of injuries? Maybe memory serves me wrong, but I always feel like a ton of people get hurt.

Overall, loved the effort and it sounds like Cousins/Cofield are going to be OK. Worried about Hank and Robinson since I haven't heard anything yet.

Ahhh, thanks. Good to know.

I think Phillip Merling is quietly having a great preseason. I thought he held his ground well and has a decent pas rush.

Guys have to play some in the pre season to get their bodies ready to play 16 or more games. Everyone needs a little game action. Injuries are part of the game but I'd like to see the pre season narrowed down to 2-3 games.

Better now than later in the regular season. The good thing is that they are getting playing time in the preseason and they are showing signs of being good players. Still, I think Amerson and Rambo may need a good season under their belt to be considered starters.
