Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
By the way, Pittsburgh is not going to win any games with that offensive line. They got killed today by the Titans.

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
The Bucs lost because of a really foolish penalty. Harsh for their fans.

I picked the steelers at 5-11 this year, before their OL injuries. Now I feel like they may be worse.. |
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Eddy Lacy looking pretty unimpressive so far.

Not looking good so far anyway. If your a Buc's fan......WOW did the Jets just beat us? |
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
GB's o-line doing a good job protecting Rodgers, not such a good job run blocking.

He's a slower RB (power back) going against one of--if not the--best defenses in the NFL. |
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Carson Palmer is looking good, too bad the Arizona line is still atrocious.

It also doesn't help he was fullback sized by time training camp started. You'd think you'd care enough about yourself to at least stay in shape. |
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Todd Hailey and Big Ben just dont fit.
|
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Honey Badger with a big play in the Cards/Rams game.

Lavonte David's penalty at the end reminded me of that bonehead move by Morgan last year in the St. Louis game. A penalty to put our FG kicker out of range to lose us the game. **** dumb penalties like this. I have to say though, I told my friend after TB scored and 34 seconds left that the game was over. Little did I think that some moron was going to gift the Jets a victory. Props to Rex, Geno and the JETS for playing till the end. |
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
If I'm the Miami Dolphins, and it may be just one game, I'm thinking:
"We have no RB" Starter Lamar Miller had 10 carries for 3 yards. "We over paid for Mike Wallace" 1 catch 15 yards Dion Jordan and Cameron Wake will be a great tandem with a combined 3.5 sacks today against Joe Thomas and Mitchell Schwartz a solid RT. |

Hell of a play (and risky as hell) by Randall Cobb! |
Rogers still can't tackle.....

Saw that, it wasn't terrible (as in it being intentional) but still a mistake. Of course followed by a bonehead play by one of the Cards' d-tackle. |
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
How the f@ck did Christian ponder go in the first round of the draft? He sucked in college and sucks now.

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Bills always play the Patriots close. Wasn't surprised at all by the result. I actually thought the Bills would upset the Patriots today but they were the Bills so of course they disappointed.
Good thing for teams in the AFC North, they all are tied for both last place and first place. Based on what I saw today I think it will be like every other season where division games are going to be close, so we should expect an exciting game tomorrow. |
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Eddy Lacy's long run negated by a hands to the face penalty...next run he fumbles.
|
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Eddie Lacey really struggling today

Eh, I think it is more of the SF d-line being dominant. On the fumble, I think it was a rushed play. |
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
The steelers are in a world of hurt with Pouncey out for the season. Never heard of a center being cut blocked by his own guard. Ben is going to get killed this year with that O-line.
|
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Wow stupid play by Matthews

Did you forget how Cofield owned Pouncey in that preseason game? They just went from bad to worst. |

Pouncey is a beast. He was by far their best olinmen. Big Ben will have to play big for them to have any chance of making the playoffs. |
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Anybody rockin any good food today? I went heavy on the Mexican today. Nachos and carne asade tacos. Eff healthy diet on opening day

Pouncey was being thrown around like a rag doll by Cofield in the preseason. Big Ben is going to get killed with a terrible o-line and no running game.
Anybody rockin any good food today? I went heavy on the Mexican today. Nachos and carne asade tacos. He is still a pro bowl center and by far Pitts best O-lineman regardless of how he looked against Cofield. |
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Looks like Lacy's been benched for now.
|
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Whew Packers are stinking it up.
|
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
I think that just shows how good Cofield is. It was one preseason game, I am not going to say Pouncey is bad based on preseason game when he has been an All-Pro multiple times. Having one bad preseason game does not mean he still isn't one of the best centers in the NFL. Or now was one of the best centers in the NFL.

Too bad they can't bench the linemen who keep committing penalties, negating big runs. Terrible play by Finley. |
Whew Packers are stinking it up.
Finley always drops passes. Surprisingly the Packer's D is playing well but their O is putting them in terrible positions. |
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Whew Packers are stinking it up.
You're not going to win many games if your receivers keep dropping the ball (James/Finley) and your o-line keeps committing penalties negating big runs. |
