I will just go ahead and round out the Florida college connection there.
Nice. I remember seeing marshall faulk at the orange bowl. I think we won by 50 though. Noles look better than we do. I dont have a good feeling about next week. Anyway i think we are taking this thread way off track. Good luck next week - i would say you are gonna need it but.....
But....Famous Jameis? Good luck next weekend. There will be NFL talent all over that field. |

Sweet. Love the 30 for 30 when they sat they respect fsu for not takin them off the schedule like the gators did. Lol. McD5 winston is da man! Edit: and i hope he gets hurt in pre game! Lol |
Riggins, Nelms, and Betts are his favorite players. Maybe he is an Iowa Alumn?
Why didn't you ask if he was a Kansas or Baylor alum? |
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
I had to do a double take on the creation date of this thread and came away disappointed. As many roster holes as this team has the coaching staff should be the least of anyone's worries. No coach can make the pile of garbage we have on defense.
Why didn't you ask if he was a Kansas or Baylor alum?
Because as a Skins fan its easy to understand Riggo or Nelms as two of your all time favorites. Betts ... Not so much. |

Fire Kyle.
Robert needs an nfl OC, not an over qualified HS coach |
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
That's a great idea -- Baylor's offense is lighting it up right now too. I'd love to see us move away from the freaking draw play on 2nd and 14 and become a team that more closely resembles air it out offenses.
Uhh.. remember a guy named Steve Spurrier? He sure made waves in the NFL with his Fun N Gun didn't he? And he even brought in two of his system QBs( one a Heisman winner) to make a go of it. Didn't go well in the NFL did it? I see Chip Kelly's so called great offense from Oregon is doing miracles in Philly now!!! Doesn't matter who is QB there, it seems that gimmick offense isn't getting the job done. |
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
What's KC's record right now, 8-0? Philly kicked the best coach out and we didn't pick him up, but KC did and look at them go! The Redskins need a good coach, a decent OC, a decent DC, and some decent OLs. A good coach would see that we competed in every game.

Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
At this point any coaching change is a good one. We're not any different than Tampa today. If not for two wins against teams missing their 3 or 4 best players this is an 0-7 team. Not surprised the sports media hasn't made the comparison because it shows such blind deference to Mike, but in the real world of fandom I'm surprised there isn't Tampa type frustration. Yesterday should have been the ah ha moment. Denver played it's worst three quarters of football this season and did everything it could to give us a win. The Denver fans around me were whining constantly about how bad Denver looked. But there's literally no energy among our players. It's dead one the sidelines. Dead on the field. This team has given up completely on Mike and co.
One thing I take back is saying our talent level is top 10 overall. This is the smallest oline in pro football and really untalented apart from Trent. The new regime will be wise to fix that unit ASAP, but then I strongly believe this can be a serious team and compete in every game next year if we make smart coaching hires. |

Dan loves Mike GOAT he's not going anywhere

Don't goad the goat |
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
Dan could be overreacting to himself in a sense. Too quick to drop the hammer for so long he's gone to the other extreme and won't take the initiative. My worry is he lets it go on so long Mike and Kyle damage the roster further out of desperation. BA needs to man up too.

Dude man, just let things roll. Defending the regime from here on out just makes it weird. |
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
I doubt BA lets Mike stay if we finish 5-11. 6 wins or higher I bet he's here
|
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
I hope Dan and BA aren't counting the Oakland and Chicago games given the circumstances.
But for Dan it might have to hit the bottom line ($) to inspire change? |
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
Oakland game I agree yeah it was ugly and we were lucky they had Flynn but Chicago I can't agree, they scored 41 points so obviously Mccown did just as much or more than Jay was going to do Agree?
|
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
This'll be my only day to post this week, traveling back home and the office will be stupid busy like last week. So I'm trying to pack it all in lol.
What's the consensus on BA going forward? Should he outlast Mike and be a transition guy or even stay on long term? |

True, but they arguably lost more talent on the defensive side of the ball that game. Briggs, Tillman and I'm missing someone?? We wouldn't have kept up in the 2nd half without all the injuries for Chicago. |

Your media deferences comments are idiotic. And this is nothing at all like what's happening in Tampa. Mike won't be fired, but he may move on. Because who wants to be a lame duck HC after all he's accomplished Roll with that |
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
I think BA would stay unless he's here as part of the MS package?
|

Roll with that
I couldn't blame MS if he left |

He's not. I think he'll sooner than later get "promoted" though. I think threes more to AJ Smith being here than is currently happening. My own speculation though |

What is BA's title exactly? Is he just the GM? |

EVP/GM. I think he'll become President |

So I assume we're going to see AJ Smith become the next GM?

I know I personally am wired that way, but I kind of feel Mike is a coaching lifer who would rather slug through a no-win situation than leave on his own terms.
Also: he had the opportunity to leave Denver on his own terms, and didn't. |

[yt]fK5WnU75naQ[/yt] I would hate if this happened. I like to think that AJ Smith played a very big hand in letting all of the talent walk from San Diego. Sure Norv had some blame in that, but they were drafting bad towards the end of AJ's tenure, and they weren't doing a good job replacing the talent they were letting walk, like V.Jax. It was like they thought that Phillip Rivers could win a SB all by his lonesome. |

Roll with that
Indeed let's keep rolling. I've already heard several of the talking heads comment negatively about Tampa and Schiano, like the "results are in." The results are also in for this regime, regardless of how long we live with them. If not deference, then what synonym to you prefer? |

Also: he had the opportunity to leave Denver on his own terms, and didn't.
I think it was our offer- He was given all immunity and power, something he didn't have in Denver. Mike essentially is the boss of BAllen in that Mike has final say. Mike is also the highest paid coach in the league. He wants to get into the HOF. He also has been dragging his son along with him the entire since the days of Denver (I saw little Kylie on the sidelines during the Super Bowl). Mike is simply taking everything that is being given to him and laughing behind closed doors. |
Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
I'd like to see what Bruce Allen can do for the team with a full salary cap intact.
No way we should fire him before we see those results. One more year minimum. He's done a great job considering the circumstances with what he's had it work with AND clean up after Vinny left. Allen can't be blamed for what Haslett has failed to do on defense (I still think we're better suited as a 4-3) and Kyle's pitiful playcalling and mis-use of RGIII. Mike and Bruce stay, new OC and DC. |

Gruden sounds alright with me.
