Seriously.

Mother F'er

He was going to be the difference in the pass rush. It just wasn't realistic to expect Murphy or Smith to all of a sudden make a leap that big. Now it appears all we can do is hope that happens.

And hope that Ian Rappoport is wrong about it being an achilles.

Teams usually don't get the Achilles wrong. I don't expect it to be anything less. It sucks because he was our starter along RK. Now smith will have to step up and be that guy. Seems like we never catch a break

I have not been so unexcited about a season as much as know in a LONG time.

What a depressing franchise.

Back to plan A. Murph and Smith need to step the F up.

And Hatcher. A healthy Hatcher can still provide hope.

Separate position I know but if we get a push from guys like that, OK.

Oh, we can catch a break. And an occasional tear and dislocation. Two starters already out for the year (three if you consider Hayward's role on teams). Honestly, it's a disaster.

Are they just clubbing each other's bones and tendons out there? I feel like no one loses as many starters during pre-season and training camp quite like the Redskins.

There's been a lot of injuries around the league.

Way too many Matty, way too many!!!!! I don't remember much contact during two a days for HS ball, and I think it is stupid for them to have full contact practice in the pros all the time, at least during the preseason.

I think they only have one padded practice a day. I don't think the contact is really the issue.

Plus they only have like one padded practice a week during the regular season.

Contact greatly reduced with the latest NFLPA deal........
Injuries seem to be going up.

Re: All things Redskins training camp

there are injuries every yr to many teams it happens, cutting PS games isn't going to make a miracle difference.

Injuries were on the incline even before the new CBA.

Re: All things Redskins training camp

I heard an x-player or two gone Espn sportscaster saying the lack of contact in practice is contributing to the rise in soft tissue injuries (not sure on that.....but). It would be interesting to see the numbers before and since the last contract....

Re: All things Redskins training camp

They don't make football players like they use to. These players today train all year around and time training camp comes their bodies are so stressed. They are trying to get bigger and faster.

Re: All things Redskins training camp

Feel terrible for JG. But this is why you drafted Murphy and Smith. Really Murphy should be the starter and Smith coming in on obvious pass rush situations. We will see if either guy was worth drafting in the 2nd round.

If Junior Galette had signed with the Patriots he would have recorded 12 sacks and been a pro bowler. He signs here, torn Achilles. I don't know about everyone else, but I am 0% surprised this happened. We can't catch a fu**Ing break. Ever!!!

Please go back to RFK stadium and away from this cursed Indian burial ground we are apparently currently playing on.

Ironically, no going back to RFK without a name change that would lift the curse in any event.

D.C. Council has a two part plan to get the Washington NFL team back in the city.

First, pass a resolution demanding that the Redskins change the team nickname because it is racist, knowing that the team owner had previously declared that he would never change it.

Then, invite the owner to negotiate a deal to build a new stadium in D.C. on the condition that he first change the team nickname.

Pure genius!

Re: All things Redskins training camp

With the emergence of Ryan Grant, Rashad Ross and Reggie Bell we have nice depth at WR. The Redskins should look into trading Roberts to Carolina who is thin at WR.
