Re: R.I.P. thread
thank you everyone
its very hard to picture someone you meet in 5th grade and grew up together then for them to suddenly pass we literally played COD together last week he died of health issues, in true fashion he never told me about them and would just act as nothing was wrong (he lives far from me now ) |

Couldn't have asked for a better friend =(
Sorry to hear that mred. It sucks so hard losing a best friend. Sorry for your loss. I've been going through it recently too, my dog of 14+ years passed very unexpected recently. Came home from work couple weeks ago, he was fine. Two hours later he was sick. Went to the ER at 8 pm. 1 AM they said they needed to get him stable to run more tests in the morning. Got home at 130 and they called us back and said he wouldn't make it to the morning. Something burst and he had sepsis. We picked him up at 8 weeks old and had 14 years of great memories afterwards. Didn't even get half a day to say goodbye. It hurts man. But time goes on - I tell my friends all the time don't mourn me when I'm gone, celebrate all the good times we had together. The ride is the experience, not the destination. Keep your head up, it gets better. |

MRed/Mooby - I'm sorry for your guys pain. There aren't any magic words that make either situation remotely easy to deal with. |
Re: R.I.P. thread
Sorry Mooby for your loss
What is tough is the loss of a dog or friend some folks may brush off that you really are not hurting that much, friends/dogs they are there through thick and thin, they see your best and your worst; you don't pick your family but you do pick your pets and friends SD you are right there are no magic words but just acknowledging another person's pain and empathizing with them goes a really long way Also we will all go through it, if you live you must face death, in the ones you love and your own So just remember this =): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mA-UtwsB5w8 |

I found my Lab’s leach recently which I had packed up when I had to put her down on earth day coming up on 2 years ago. I took it and hung it in my garage next to my tools…it still has year stinky lab smell which I miss so much. |
Re: R.I.P. thread
A dog becomes such a beloved member of the family in a heartbeat as know the feeling. So sorry!

All deaths are sad. But sometimes they just hit a little different. Especially when it's people you associate memories with but didn't actually know. This one stings. I actually just watched Happy Gilmore pretty recently. He was awesome in that movie. |
Re: R.I.P. thread
He was just in a Commercial with Gronk for the Super Bowl!

Re: R.I.P. thread
Carl Weathers was talented on multiple fronts. One of the greats. RIP

In the ideal scenario we all pass peacefully, asleep, pain free but in reality it rarely works out that way. Hope you're doing better now. I still miss the unconditional love, coming home every day and his excitement when I walk through the door. It's something you can't get from your s/o half the time. But life has to go on. I had my time to mourn, I had a bunch of prints made which really help me to remember him from the countless good moments (and not focus on the terrible last day). Anyways like I said, hope you're doing better and I'm here if you ever need anything. Sometimes it feels good to vent. And everyone else - I appreciate the kind words guys. Also RIP Carl Weathers. Like many others his scenes in Happy Gilmore were classic for me growing up. He always radiated kindness in whatever he was in. |

I cleared some space, its all gravy now. Chico, I pity you. But more than you, I pity the people who have to tolerate your presence in their life. |
Re: R.I.P. thread
Chico man I know that you were trying to dig at G -1 and obviously it wasn’t a dig at anybody’s beloved pet but you really gotta read the room sometimes.
