Re: NFL Draft
So let me get this straight....Pass on Darnold and draft a RB. Trade pass rusher and elite WR...and draft a QB who may sit for 3 years at the 6 pick in the draft?
How is any of this good?
Giants fans are livid and they should be. Jones at #6 with talk of him potentially sitting for 3 years?? Unbelievable. |
Re: NFL Draft
I think the Skins will trade up into RD2 to grab a stud WR. They know they have to get Haskins some weapons.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
With two 3rd rounders they could. But we also need a guard at some point. If there's a big run on WRs I could see them moving up. |

Parris would be great in that situation. Not likely, but Haskins would be thrilled. |

I know they're gambling on Eli being productive, but realistically if they can get production out of Eli for 1-2 more years before they turn it over to Jones I would consider that a smart play. You just never know if you're gonna get "Eli, league leader in picks" or "Eli, above average qb." And if Eli has another subpar year, you turn it over to Jones in 2020, hopefully with the year on the bench doing him some good. |
Re: NFL Draft
Giants and Cardinals front offices are competing with each other to see who's the worst. Here is something you don't want to see if you are a Cards fan:
@AndrewSiciliano Arizona Cardinals QB moves, last 13 months: *sign Sam Bradford 2yr/$40m, $15m guaranteed *sign Mike Glennon 2yr/$8m, $4m guaranteed *draft Josh Rosen #10 overall after trading 3rd and 5th round picks to move up. Pay Rosen $11.3m in 2018 *draft Kyler Murray #1 overall |

If they don't believe is Rosen, they did the right thing by trying to get the QB they wanted. No point in staying with a player that can't do the job. |

No point in staying with a player that can't do the job.
Yes, but we're in this situation due to Alex's injury, Keenum is costing us very little, and we managed to draft a QB of the future (which even with a healthy Alex would have happened this or next year), while getting an elite player than can help right away in Sweat. Arizona stupidly believed that a.) they could keep their selection of Murray a secret and b.) that they could get a 1st rounder for Rosen. Now they'll be lucky to get a 4th for him. |
Re: NFL Draft
The Cards will have to give Rosen away at this point, what a debacle

Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Cards made no secret that they were looking for a first round pick for Rosen. If what I have heard is accurate, the best offers they got were for a second rounder. My guess is if he is traded at all, he will get traded tonight, during the second round. |

the current rumor is Rosen to Miami for a 2nd round pick |
Re: NFL Draft
Wondering if we trade any players for second round picks. Now would be the time to move Reed, Doctson, maybe Josh Norman

Re: NFL Draft
I’d think Reed and Norman could net second round picks. Doctson maybe a fourth?

Re: NFL Draft
Ok. A second for Norman, 3rd for Reed, 4th for Doc. Would take those deals if you’re the Skins?

Nobody would trade a ham sandwich for Doctson.

if the Redskins throw in both of their 3 round picks they could get a ham sandwich for Doctson |
Re: NFL Draft
You think we could get a 2nd for an aging corner with a massive salary that he hasn't lived up to? GL with that.

Re: NFL Draft
Sooo many good players left.
Take a WR (Butler, McLaurin, or Boykin), OG McGovern, or S (Thompson or Gardner-Johnson) with this pick. I would prefer Butler or McGovern. |
Re: NFL Draft
here we go
|
Re: NFL Draft
And the pick is in...
The Skins take WR Terry McLaurin. Now, get us a guard with our next pick so I can sleep well tonight. |
Re: NFL Draft
Yay, a solid fast wr!
|
Re: NFL Draft
And played with Haskins too! Amazingly lucky
|
Re: NFL Draft
I hear his special teams is off the chain too! Nice! Plus Haskins is familiar

Re: NFL Draft
Idk about that would you give up a 2nd for Reed? I wouldn’t
He is either in street clothes or playing banged up to the point of being ineffective half the time. He also cannot block. I don't think anyone would want him at his cap number, and past history. |
Re: NFL Draft
There are only 4 decent guards available. That is next. They can't get tempted by a te or safety. It is their last shot. Almost a must pick

Re: NFL Draft
So far so good in the draft, nice to get a speed burner wide receiver. Someone familiar to Haskins, awesome.
