Teams still over the 182.5 cap

Rams -33.9M
Bears 19
Eagles 17.9
Falcons 10
Packers 2

What if the Rams arent cap compliant by Tuesday?
A contract expires at the end of the league year which is next week. Thats why roster bonuses happen on the first day of the new league year.

When a player is cut he is no longer under a valid contract and is free to look for other teams either immediately or after clearing waivers depending on how many years he has in the league.

THAT makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.

This is awesome! I wonder if we would have to pay for the Sunday Ticket along with the ESPN+ subscription? The article makes it sounds like as if we only need to pay the subscription but I find it hard to believe cuz ESPN would miss out on a lot of money if they go down that path.

Damn that is huge! Like others, the biggest reason I have directv...this is going to cost them big time so I'm glad they'll be getting a taste of their own medicine for a change.

So instead or DirecTV, if you want the out of market games, you have to subscribe to ESPN+?

I guess that's a couple years down the road, so no big deal now.

Anyone know if the Amazon deal means the games will be available to Prime subscribers AND outside the US? It's not clear from what I've read, but as a subscriber, it will lean me more away from Sky TV in the UK next year (expensive).

Per overthecap there are still a few that seem non-compliant. The penalty is supposed to be a combination of fines, loss of draft picks and cancellation of contracts.
The NFL's cap is a hard cap that the teams have to stay under at all times, and the salary floor is also a hard floor. Penalties for violating or circumventing the cap regulations include fines of up to $5 million for each violation, cancellation of contracts and/or loss of draft picks.
I am a big fan of the game pass - roughly 150 € for all games / red zone, plus all NFL originals like hard knocks etc.

I have contemplated it, but we're currently Sky subscribers and also follow F1. As we also have Amazon, I was curious.

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. I hope the allegations are proven to be false. I want to believe he is the guy that they have been saying he is.

Man, either Watson is going to turn out to be a Darren Sharper/Marvin Harrison type of player, who seems like a nice guy with a crazy/criminal side to him or this is some type of publicity hit by the Texans. And I'm wondering if it is the former.

I read somewhere that this lawyer is neighbors with Cal McNair. That the lawyer is known to be a douchebag around Houston. Cal seems like one himself so I find it interesting that Watson has never had a hint of trouble mentioned in the media yet he wants out of Houston and Boom! 8 massage therapists all come out with the exact same story all of a sudden. Stinks like crap to me.

I agree, something seems off...

Time to update the count to 12 !!!

In addition, Buzbee said he has spoken to another 10 women who have come forward about encounters with Watson.

10 more coming forward!!!

I have no doubt Watson would've been interested if happy endings were the menu, but there's a fine line between asking for a happy ending and forcing a massage therapist to do something she doesn't want to do.

Hope the allegations aren't true but won't be surprised if they are.

The timing of it seems so strange. Also if there was a crime committed why are these women after money instead of justice?

Innocent until proven guilty.

And honestly, the more "accusers" they add, the more I don't believe any of them. Imo, this screams duesche bag lawyer assuring a payday, and people loving money.

Basically, unless Watson is a beyond serial sexual offender and the biggest deviant in pro sports history, this is fishy as fuck to me.

As a FSU fan, therefore a follower of the ACC, I've been following Watson for like 10 years. I've never heard anything but he's a great guy and teammate. And yeah, you can present a great front, and have some bad decisions. But he's apparently just harassing women left and right, but magically they all come out at the same time?

I don't buy it.

That being said, the Texans are fucked and the other 31 teams are wiping their brows in relief they didn't trade for him.

Brutal being a Texans fan right now.

Watsons made around $40 mil so far but is probably missing out on $300+ mil in future earnings. At the end of his current contract, he would've made $187 mil at 30 years old.

That's a lot of money to leave on the table. Cancel this fucking fuck!
