It sounds like Adam’s was willing to sit out the season after being tagged. In the end this was the best the packers could hope for. Carr has to be stoked he now has hands down the best WR in NFL.
And they played together in college, if memory serves.

Rodgers, after finding out the Packers traded D. Adams:

Re: Around the NFL 2022: Offseason edition

Also, the Panthers are being slammed on Twitter now that they are out of the Watson sweepstakes:

@SharpFootball
Matt Rhule's key QB moves in Carolina
- signed Teddy Bridgewater (3 yr, $63M)
- traded for Sam Darnold (lost 2nd, 4th & 6th rd picks)
- traded away Bridgewater for a 6th
- exercised Darnold's 5th yr option
- signed Matt Barkley
- signed Cam Newton
- benched Newton
- cut Barkley

@FieldYates
Carolina owned the 8th pick in a QB rich draft last year and instead decided to trade for Sam Darnold.

This year they tried to trade for Deshaun Watson to replace Darnold, to no avail.

Finding their franchise QB has proven to be a major challenge.

Matt Rhule is a tool. I wouldn't be surprised if he is gone before the end of the season.

Re: Around the NFL 2022: Offseason edition

WR is generally accepted as the hardest position for a rookie to be successful at (non-QB). And if not the hardest, top 2 (same rule).

You can't just say hey, we will draft 2 rookies, and the production is replaced. Davante Adams is an absolute stone cold fucking beast. You're not replacing that with a couple rookies.

Not to mention, if you double down at WR, you lose picks at other positions.

Packers continue to just think Rodgers will work it all out.

Apparently Adams chose LV over GB, he is great friends with Carr.

Also I have been to GB, I'd prob choose Vegas too lol

Matt Rhule, lookin' like a fool. With his dumb fat head, likes to sit on a toad stool. Thinks he's all cool, makes all the qb's drool, yet what he really don't know, is he ain't qualified to coach football in Istanbul.

The Houston Texans went 4-12 in 2020 with Deshaun Watson and also went 4-13 in 2021 without him. Tell me more about how having a "franchise" QB gives you a chance.

Dude is overrated, and now overpaid. I will not be shocked when the Browns fail to make the playoffs in 2022.

Watson had about as good a year a quarterback could have in 2020. Im thinking this is a case where he simply needs half a team around him. It is a team sport, and Watson is far from overrated. Ask Stafford what not playing on one of the worst teams in football can do for your win loss record.

I don't think anyone will ever win in Cleveland.. That city had Lebron James and only won 1 title.

That franchise has and always will suck

You want a talk about a city that would benefit from a dome. I don't think a QB will ever have great numbers there with as windy as it is.

Ha. Yup. Alot to give up, but the dude is severely underrated contrary to what some think. 2020 5,000 yards 33 td’s, and 7 int’s. On the Texans. That’s crazy. Half a team might get him to 6,000 with 40 and 7!

on a 4 win team, alot of those stats are during garbage time. not saying he is not a skilled QB just saying they are a bit inflated.

+1

Their statement is garbage too. If we had done this it would've been another notch on Dan Snyder's belt of incompetence.

Loved how they told Baker they wanted an adult at qb - guess 22 sexual harassment/assault allegations is very mature for a qb.

I am not going to write about the difference Deshaun Watson makes in the Cleveland Browns as a football team. There will be time for that—five years. Five obscenely expensive years, in which the Browns will pay a question mark $2.7 million per game to play football.

I am going to write about the Browns selling their souls for a football player who has 22 open accusations of sexual assault or sexual harassment against him.

He didn't say that.
I don’t think any team should go into business with a player—though cleared of criminal charges—who has 22 women accusing him of indecent acts. Thirty-one teams should have risen up and said, We might be interested in this great football player, but only after we know the full scope of what we’re dealing with. The fact is, they don’t know. Watson could be faultless, and he could have run into 22 women, all of whom are lying, as his attorney Rusty Hardin thinks. That would be an incredible coincidence, 22 women all lying. But let the legal system play this out.
He should work for it though. They were 4-12 in 2020 and 4-13 in 2021 without him. Look I realize he is a good QB and I don't see anyone saying different but it's almost two full seasons since he has played , this is a new team , new Coaches , he hasn't earned or deserves this type of money .

I don't know if condemning the trade and optics and unemployment are mutually inclusive. Jeffery Skilling did his time doesn't mean companies that do business with Veld Applied Analytics might not feel some heat.

I'm glad he found somewhere to play again and try to get his life back on track. And I'm glad it wasn't us, because we have too much shit going on with Snyder already, it just wouldn't have worked here. I would have supported him, but Cleveland is a better spot for him.

There won't be criminal charges, but they will all likely still get paid in civil court, so let the man work.

That article is just typical Peter King drivel, that probably has been written by 100 different writers already, because its such low hanging fruit to score some brownie points.
