What an odd show. The only thing missing was mom yelling from the kitchen telling him his meatloaf is getting cold. |
Expect you have to get the FA to agree to that and you are bidding for their services against other teams, i am pretty sure free agent Wentz was not coming here.
No free agent QB is coming to Washington unless they are out of options. |

lol it is kind of a hot mess type of show, I can only take it in small doses, usually just watch clips on YT |

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
- in 85 starts Wentz has thrown 57 ints and fumbled 66 times. The 66 fumbles is an astounding stat.
- has been sacked 211 times. - under pressure in 2020 his rating was 48 - Colts issues w/ Wentz were " doesn't take to hard coaching, is abrasive, lacks leadership and is reckless" - Jeff Darlington.. " I was standing on the sideline watching Wentz. The vibe wasn't there" |

The Colts threw that shit in as a gift cause they got over on Ron. |

I think he takes the care of the ball in the air well, but the fumbles are a huge issue. Although Josh Allen fumbles often too but he's a way better QB than Wentz so he makes up for it. Look guys I'm just happy we will see some legit deep bombs this yr and Terry finally has a legit starting QB.. |
Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
I would have signed Bridgewater and drafted someone. Teddy isn't flashy but he will take care of the ball and won't LOSE you games like Wentz does.
Ron thinks this team is similar to the Rams and he is way off. His team NEEDS the draft picks. Every last one of them. Holes everywhere on this roster. So I sign Teddy, I draft the stud wr out of Ohio State and have more room on the cap to fill some holes. I'd probably go in the 2nd or 3rd round to get my QB and just deal w/ the fact that this isn't a great QB draft. But I could maybe get Ridder or Strong in the 2nd or maybe the 3rd. Now you got someone in the pipeline. I'll try and win 8 or 9 games running the ball, playing better defense, hitting some big plays w/ my wr's and not turning it over. That's the ceiling for this team, with or w/out Wentz. So there you go, I just sold you on what this dumb ass team should have done... lol.
Teddy lost plenty of games last year by not making the throws needed to win the game. His ceiling is so low at this point in his career that you have no choice but to draft a QB. For the three of you that would have liked this scenario the rest of us would be pretty furious if we decided to roll with Teddy AND not draft a QB. And for whatever reason, we continue to gloss over how bad the Colts receiving corps and pass pro was. |

Between Gibson and Wentz, we're gonna fumble 2 or 3 times a game. |
Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Another very telling stat, Wentz was a 50% passer on plays that were not screens. 30th in the NFL.

I almost feel bad for Scott. I don't like all the shotgun stuff, especially on 3rd and short. But I'd like to see Scott w/ an elite QB. |
Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Well one thing is for sure about this trade, Ron is definitely in charge right now, not Snyder...because Snyder would've never been down for this...I'm sure his reaction is very similar to much of the fan base. It is not exciting, and doesn't inspire hope to a franchise that is desperately seeking hope. And we all know, after Rodgers and Wilson were officially somewhere else, Watson was the only other one that gave any hope to the future, and you can only assume they were not going that route or willing to wait on it. I think there is a very small chance Wentz will win here but I hope I'm wrong. It is funny to me that some are saying they like this deal vs signing a free agent because they'd have to commit more to a free agent...you commit as much as you want in the contract they sign...you make it a prove it this year type deal or we can move on from you. I think we've also learned Ron doesn't want a rookie QB...at all...so don't look for one to be drafted this season or next, unless they have a top 3 pick...which could happen.
cuz we see how well hes handled that in the past |

I'll say it again though. Why are you comparing his stats in a vacuum? What about his receivers? Were they open? How much time did he have in the pocket? Do you think any of that factors into a statistic like that? He made some boneheaded reads and throws last season, I'll give you that but you're making him out to be in the bottom half of the league and that just isn't true. |

Please don't share anymore about him LOL. I already don't like the move. This has turned me into crying jordan. That is a terrible stat. Just proves he leaves lots of yards on the field. No NFL QB should be completing less than 60%. |

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
The only stats that matter to me at this point is what happens in 2022. Throw the rest of them out. New team, new coaches, fresh start. I am now a Carson Wentz fan because he is the QB of my team. End of story.

Schroeder took us to the NFC Championship in 86 and the Raiders to the AFC Championship in 89. I'd take that from Wentz. I think Schroeder was maybe a little more disliked by his teammates. Wentz seems to have his share of supporters from the Colts. |

There were rumblings of it in Philly too, just saying. I am not really devaluing him on it. You got crack some eggs to make a omelette |

You got crack some eggs to make a omelette
I think he complained too much when Hurts was drafted. From the outside looking in, it seems that that people in that organization were split between Hurts and Wentz. |

This very good o-line was absolutely terrible at pass pro, way worse than our own team and we barely had starters playing. but it is what it is I guess, I'll leave it here because I'm sure you've fully made up your mind. |

Has it has been a while since we had a quarterback with a cannon for an arm? I know that isn’t everything, but man it will be nice to see him step into one and at the very least not worry about get it batted down because he is 6 foot tall, or fluttering from the sky to the ground like a baby bird…. I swear it looked like TH was throwing balloons sometimes. P.S. 10 inch hands [emoji119] so there is that. |
Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Yeah, must be something there that they don't like. Could be the ACL too.
From that list, I'm ok with their process and decision. |
