Think this is a mistake by KC. Hill was a huge reason they won the SB converting the 4th and long. Few players have his skill set, production, and talent. This is surprising to me and think he may get scooped up quickly.
Actually I think this is a good move on Chiefs' part. There is not much Chiefs can do when Hill turns down the offer to be one of the highest paid players in NFL, it's better for teams to move on from/trade away the players who do not want to stay with the team. Unlike what we did with Cousins and Scherff.

Just saw the news that Chiefs got a few draft picks (including 1st and 2nd round picks) for Hill, this is much better than forcing Hill to stay with the team via franchise tag and then lose him in free agency next year.

or draft them in the first, Ride the 4 year contract plus 1 option year. Then tag for the 6th year. Then move on. By then youve got most of the prime years.

Cost of a position in free agency to fill spot HAS to be taken into account when drafting in first round.

Qb, WR, CB, T .. thats all I would take. Even T is a position you can now fill in FA pretty well. but try to fill QB, WR or CB in FA and its murder.

Im interested to see how he does away from Rodgers. Carr is a good QB but still.

Who was the last big time WR to leave his big time QB? Howd they do after?

^^ In a few years w AI and they way they are studying us, you could ask Alexa that "non straight fact" question and they will be having conversations with us.

When I see all this money wr's are getting I start to believe that we won't be able to keep McLaurin.

Also Andy Reid knows what he's doing. They'll reload and get another speed guy or two in the draft w/ all those picks.

Andy Reid with extra picks and us with extra pics is two totally different worlds.

I don't believe this at all, there is no way Snyder would let him walk away. I think the only chance McLaurin walks away is if he does not like this franchise.

For anyone questioning KC in the Hill move consider the following:

They took a character question guy in the 5th rd and got a Super Bowl ring with his help and numerous AFC title game appearances and traded him for a:

1st rounder
2nd rounder
2 4th rounders
1 6th rounder

Now, they can get younger and save a ton a money on the cap. Think it's a great move for KC especially long term.

Look for the Chiefs to trade up to get their guy at WR. They have the capital now.

and even others. This draft is loaded with receiver talent. They are also courting Valdez-Scanting who is fast. Think they will be fine lol.

I base that on pure speculation. Instability at QB, crappy stadium, not a real good franchise, lack of home support from the fans. He went to Ohio State in a college football crazed town playing in from of 100,000. Now he is here where 30,000 fans come. Money talks obviously, but he can't feel great about being here.

Maybe he and Wentz hit it off. We'll see. Winning cures a lot of issues. But think if this dude had Brady, Rodgers or Mahomes throwing him the ball. He's had Haskins, Heinicke lol, smh.

Yes, Reid is great at moving guys while they have value. Asshole robbed us twice!

Let's be honest here, Hill is a blazing fast punt returner not a WR.
If MIA puts him outside the numbers, Hill isn't going to get 1000 years.
His value is as a slot guy.

$30 mil for a slot guy! god damn!

The Dolphins are a bunch of morons. I would never give up that kind of draft stock for a WR. Especially when you got a shitty QB. The contract is bad enough, but giving away draft capital. SMH

True enough. But he now has a gunslinger at QB who can and will get him the ball downfield. I gotta believe that he is excited about the numbers he's gonna put up next season. Especially if his buddy on the other side gets well and/or we pick up another burner in the draft.

It's always hard to remember when the "total deal" first announced, that this isn't baseball or basketball, and it's all about the fine print.

If we could extend Terry for that exact same contract, I would do it.

They're in the opposite boat of KC & GB...not paying for a superstar QB...so bringing in weapons around Tua with a solid D...trying to do it like Seattle did before. The dolphins have a bunch of draft picks as well. They're all in with this new coach...certainly not tanking now haha...I'm sure Flores is like WTF??

I think the Hill trade could be a win for both sides. The thing w/ Hill is he puts pressure on the defense when he doesn't get the ball. Do doubt Miami got a lot better. Pressure is really on Tua.

But sometimes draft picks don't amount to much. Hill is going to come in and bring serious production for the next few years. Teams are thinking now more than ever. The Rams have totally changed the game regarding draft picks.

I'm interested to see how Waddle and Hill do together. 2 lightning fast big play wrs. Should be interesting.
Unless the QB throwing to him is going to be Mahomes then the trade and the money doesn't make sense.
I think their offense is going to be pretty potent. Just too many weapons. Feel some are quick to label Tua a bust. Don't think he'll ever be elite but good. I like the trade in KC's favor with all the picks but no doubt Hill instantly improves their offense.

Kid put up over 1,000 yds receiving last year as a rookie. Him and Hill could be lethal. Think Gesicki will put up monster numbers in that offense.
