In short I don't believe you're too colleagues we're going to vote for Kamala they were probably just saying that but we're going to vote for Trump no matter what. I think they were hoping (praying) she wouldn't go full bore Progressive if she won, but by picking Walz she is demonstrating she is going to go full bore progressive which for those two (and me) killed our long shot hopes. (Plus for one of them he really liked Kelley - he is our Senator).

It's definitely an interesting pick to say the least. I feel like if she had picked Shapiro she probably wins somewhat comfortably in November. Especially if she never puts herself in a position where she has answer a question about her past or her plans for the future.

It's probably the worst choice for her chances, right? Does adding him to the ticket entice the moderates or the independents? I don't think so. Those 'lefter' than left are in the bag, though... but they already were. It's just so curious to me.

There isn't a more self-loathing group of humans on earth than a liberal jew in the U.S. Shapiro sold out God for his own gain, but didn't actually gain anything, then had to promote Walz in his own home state.

IMO , with Biden running trump had it all sewn up. I didn't think Biden dropping out would change anything and I was wrong . Harris has energized the Democrats and all never trumpers . While I wanted Kelly as VP no one has given a good reason Walz is a bad pick? All the trump supporters I know that don't like him but hated Biden are now all turning to Harris. I'm shocked with the stunning turn of events and like you I don't think Walz pick as VP is as bad as Vance, why would Walz sink Harris but Vance can't sink trump???

I'll give you that it will likely be even stronger than 2020, but it won't be as strong as it was 1 week ago. Example a week ago I think Harris had a decent chance of taking Georgia and N. Carolina now it's less of a chance.

You're probably right. It should though. The VP matters in the sense that he or she is only one (fill in the blank) away from being the Commander in Chief.

Granted, it doesn't happen often so that's probably not something everyone is considering.
Quite a bit of both Biden's and Harris's support came from people like me who were voting against Trump (which likely made up about 30% of her support) Our votes were very reluctant for her as it was and by picking another progressive (and a populist one at that) it was essentially a slap in the face to independents and the Never Trump/GOP conservatives that made up that group. She basically told us to go pound sand and she doesn't need our votes. In my office alone 2 that would have voted for her if she picked Kelley (especially Kelley), Shapiro or any moderate told me they are now going to vote for Trump and she lost my vote as well (I will sit out). As you posted she's making a move thinking all she needs is her base. She read the audience wrong the anti-Trump vote was more important than her base support and now she will likely lose. Lets see what the polls say in 2 weeks.
What is interesting and yes it has only been primaries but democrats have opted to vote out progressives in favor of more moderate candidates over the last few weeks, yet she doubled down on a progressive over a moderate. I can't imagine democrats not voting for her against Trump because of that but we will see, that rejection of progressive policies is not exclusive to moderate democrats.

I know we are thinking "tips" , like the pizza guy but what about the big stuff? I see the Below Deck tip as no different than the server tip. If it's reported then you have to pay taxes. If it is in cash well I got no problem with the wink wink method of not reporting. I was after all a bartender in the 80's when all the tips were cash and none were reported.
