What we need most right now is a proven veteran LT. I don't know how we're going to get one but I think it must be done to protect our promising young QB. I would feel comfortable with Lucas as our starting RT but not with him as our starting LT. I'm nervous about Wylie as a starter but I'm hoping he is able to become a good backup in our new offense.

Our OL is a major concern. While I do believe we have competent coaching staff now and they will make up for it whilst gameplanning, it's still will be near the top of the needs list next year

I think we need to add a capable pass blocker at LT [U]this year[/U]. JD must be protected. It may need to be done via trade.

Agree but who? If we don't want to sell the farm to get a top grade starter (strongly think that is not in AP's mind), who is there that could be available and offer an upgrade? And be the right fit/value? e.g.

None of their suggested targets strike me as a sure fire upgrade.

It's not going to be easy to find someone. One ray of hope is that the coaches seem to feel better about starting Lucas at LT than we do. If Lucas plays well at LT and the rookie Coleman can handle a starters role at RT, then things might turn out better than we fear.
