That's a loaded question...what are you looking for? Best gas mileage? Luxury? New / Used? Best looking? 4X4?
I'd say for mileage and reliability go for a toyota or honda...I prefer honda.
Luxury is BMW, and they are extremely reliable, but can be expensive. Still they are cheaper than Lexus and Mercedes for the most part.
I am partial to GMC Sierra's if you want a 4X4.

I'd say a Honda Civic.
You can get a toyota camry, that way you'd get more room, but it's a little more expensive and the mileage isn't as good...it's good, but not AS good.

I actually have applied to a couple places there. It's nice there but more expensive that other areas. That whole highway that ends at Boulder has high priced real estate. (Louisville is about 10 minutes southeast of boulder, or 25 minutes or so north west of Denver.)
