Re: 2012 Presidential Election (free for all edition)
Think about if our federal gov just ran the major functions of gov. and the states did the rest. We would not have this problem in DC.
Why would these guys invite anyone that isn't an elephant or a donkey?
Exactly right. From the Wiki
In 1988, the League of Women Voters withdrew its sponsorship of the presidential debates after the George H.W. Bush and Michael Dukakis campaigns secretly agreed to a "memorandum of understanding" that would decide which candidates could participate in the debates, which individuals would be panelists (and therefore able to ask questions), and the height of the podiums. The League rejected the demands and released a statement saying that they were withdrawing support for the debates because "the demands of the two campaign organizations would perpetrate a fraud on the American voter."[8]
That's sums up what I felt about the debates even before they started. |

Why weren't our military assets engaged here? Aviano and Sigonella are an hours flight away. |

We also had Terrorist taking credit for the attack two hours into the attack.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election (free for all edition)
Another reason the electoral college should get ditched. The fact that ~200,000 people in Montana have the same weight as ~800,000 people in California is ridiculous.
Secondly, 3 members of the republican electoral college came out and said even if Romney won their district's they'd vote for Ron Paul? That is unacceptable to me -- if the people vote, you respect their wishes. Get rid of the electoral college already! I don't think Republicans would be please with your innovative electoral ideas. |

Color me shocked.
Funny they find that something Obama has to deal with when he gets a high % of white votes but they don't talk about a white guy getting less then 10% of the black vote. Where is that poll to see if they are prejudice against white. |

Not all white guys are the same...plenty of white guys [and gals] with D next to their name get the black vote. Bottom line, you and your nominees are the wrong kind of white guys because of your ideology. |
